Description

This torque converter is suitable for engines up to 350 horsepower and 350 ft-lbs of torque, delivering reliable street performance.
Durable Construction and Materials. Manufactured from high-strength steel, this torque converter incorporates a new needle thrust bearing and a precision alloy steel pump tube for improved durability. Each unit is fully balanced and pressure tested to ensure long-lasting performance in demanding street applications.
Installation Requirements. Installation is straightforward for those familiar with automatic transmissions, requiring no modifications, drilling, or flexplate changes. It is designed as a direct fit for compatible AOD transmissions with existing mounting specifications.
Application. This torque converter fits 1984 to 1992 Ford Mustang models equipped with AOD transmissions. It is not compatible with AODE or 4R70W transmissions. The converter matches engines with an 11.4-inch bolt pattern and 1.375-inch crank pilot, ensuring proper fitment and operation.
