The Clutch Masters FX850 Series Race Twin Disc Ceramic Clutch Kit with Hydraulic Release Bearing and Aluminum Flywheel; 26-Spline is designed to provide exceptional performance for high horsepower and torque engines. This clutch kit offers superior holding capacity and consistent pedal feel, making it ideal for both racing and high-performance street applications. Its twin disc design increases clamping force and disc surface area to optimize power transfer and clutch durability.
Construction and Appearance. The kit features a billet aluminum pressure plate cover that is Type 3 hard anodized for maximum durability and corrosion resistance. The cover's billet construction provides approximately 25% greater tensile strength compared to cast units, minimizing flex to just 0.003 inches for consistent clutch engagement. The included aluminum flywheel is machined from billet 6061-T6 aluminum, anodized for durability, and meets SFI 1.2 specifications. The ceramic discs are engineered to deliver reliable friction and heat resistance under extreme conditions.
Installation. Installation requires moderate mechanical skill and typically does not require drilling or modifications to the bellhousing when matched correctly. The kit is a direct fit solution designed to replace the original clutch assembly with minimal effort.
Application. This clutch kit fits 2005 through 2013 Corvette C6 models, excluding the ZR1 version.
