How to Install a C&L Dual Bearing Idler Assembly on Your 2007-2014 GT500 Mustang

Step 1:  

Remove the 10mm bolts holding  the coolant overflow to the fan  shroud. Move the overflow out  of the way so that you can  access the supercharger belt  tensioner.

Step 2:  

Using a 3/8” ratchet apply  pressure so that you can remove  the Super charger belt from the  pulley. **Note: Just fold the  belt out of the way, there is no  need to remove it.

Step 3:  

Remove the (3) 8mm bolts on  the coolant housing (directly  below the supercharger pulley).  Mount the new bracket using  the supplied allen (5mm) head  bolts. Torque to 15 ft-lbs.

Step 4:  

Reinstall the supercharger belt.  **Note: You may need an extra  hand as the belt will be more  difficult to slip behind the  tensioner. Make sure the belt is  aligned correctly on all other  pulleys.
