If so, you should upgrade to a set of SR Performance Linear Touring Lowering Springs. These Touring Springs were engineered to lower your Mustang's center of gravity, which helps to reduce squat during rapid acceleration, body roll in the corners, and excessive nose-dive under hard braking. SR Performance Linear Touring Lowering Springs are ideal for daily driving, street, and even occasional track use.
Sleek Lowered Stance. A set of SR Performance Touring Springs not only improve the handling performance of your Mustang, but they also improve its overall appearance. By lowering the ride height approximately 1.5-inch front and rear, that huge tire to fender gap is eliminated. These Touring Springs will provide your Mustang with a sleek, muscular stance that will be sure to get you noticed on the street and at the track.
Linear Design. Linear springs (also known as standard rate springs) are engineered with a constant spring rate that remains the same as the spring compresses. This linear rate of compression allows for optimum traction and a more predictable handling feel at both low and high speeds. Linear springs will have a slightly rougher ride when compared to progressive springs. Clears Stock and Aftermarket Wheels & Tires. These lowering springs were engineered to be compatible with your stock size wheels and tires, as well as AmericanMuscle’s pre-configured wheel and tire combo kits (specific to your generation), to assure proper clearance with no rubbing issues.
Polyurethane Spring Isolators. The included SR Performance Polyurethane Spring Isolators are made from polyurethane that has been impregnated with graphite so they will not dry out and crack like the stock rubber pieces. Designed to replace the stock rubber units found on the 1979-2004 Mustangs these SR Performance Spring Isolators will greatly improve the handling of your lowered pony.
Professional Installation Recommended. Seeing that a spring compressor is required for installation of these Lowering Springs, AmericanMuscle recommends professional installment. With the proper tools, the install can be completed in about three hours. Please note that an alignment is highly recommended after installation.

SR Performance offers our valued customers the following Limited Warranty on all SR Performance product purchased after September 1st, 2026.
What is Covered
Subject to the terms, exclusions and limitations herein, and with respect only to products first sold in the United States, SR Performance warrants that its products shall be free of manufacturing defects for three (3) years from the date of initial retail purchase when the SR Performance product is installed and used on purchaser's vehicle according to supplied product installation instructions and/or warnings. This Limited Warranty is made only with respect to the initial purchaser and is not transferrable. SR Performance reveserves the right to require proof of purchase as a condition of this Limited Warranty and to make future revisions to this product or its Limited Warranty without obligation to provide notice of same to purchaser or to conform existing product to future revisions. Any change to this warranty made after purchase may be applied retroactively at the sole discretion of SR Performance.
What is Not Covered
Your SR Performance Limited Warranty does not cover damage or claims to any component, vehicle, or person other than the SR Performance product purchased. Your Limited Warranty is expressly limited to replacement of the item itself shall SR Performance determine item was not free of defect. As such, this Limited Warranty does not cover damage or claims to any component, vehicle, or person SR Performance determines to have been damaged by or subjected to:
- Installation damage, collision damage, alteration, modification, misuse or failure to maintain.
- Damage in any part attributable to:
- vehicle systems or components or
- combination with non- SR Performance products.
- Normal wear and tear/product deterioration.
- Theft, vandalism or other negligent or intentional damage.
Remedy Limited to Repair/Replacement:
The exclusive remedy provided for products covered under this Limited Warranty shall be, upon SR Performance’s inspection and at SR Performance’s option, either repair or replacement of product or parts (new or refurbished). Any parts repaired or replaced will be considered part of the original product and will not extend the term of Limited Warranty. Customers requesting warranty consideration should first contact the independent distributor selling your product to obtain a Returned Goods Authorization number. All removal, shipping, and installation costs are customer's responsibility. If a replacement part is needed before your part can be returned, you must first purchase the replacement part. Then, if SR Performance determines the part warrantable, you will be credited the purchase price of that part.
This warranty is the only warranty made in connection with the purchase of this product. SR Performance neither assumes nor authorizes any manufacturer, vendor, retailer, other person or entity to assume for it any other obligation or liability in connection with its products or this Limited Warranty.
Other Limitations - Exclusion of Damages - Your Rights Under State Law:
- In consideration of the purchase price paid, neither SR Performance nor any independent distributor are responsible for any loss of use or time, rental costs, or for any incidental, consequential, punitive or other damages (whether arising in tort or contract) you may have or incur in connection with your vehicle, or your SR Performance product. Your exclusive remedy hereunder is repair/replacement of the item itself or refund as described above at SR Performance option. All implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose are hereby disclaimed or limited to the extent allowed under your jurisdiction.
