    3 Keyway. Made from billet steel the crank sprocket features a three key-way giving three choices of cam timing plus an additional four degree incremental adjust ability of advanced/retarded settings.

    Superior Quality. Featuring an induction hardened cast iron camshaft gear and billet steel crank sprocket, this Comp Cams kit includes a heavy-duty, heat-treated true double roller timing chain for reliability.

    Application. This Comp Cams Magnum Timing Chain Set is specifically designed for 1985-1992 5.0L or 5.8L V8 equipped Mustangs. Built after 3/22/84

    why is this product listed for 5.0 engines up to only 92? instead of 95?

    • The timing gears from 1985-1995 are all 302's. Because of this, contrary to the fitment that we have on the site, the Comp Cams Magnum Double Roller Timing Chain Set (85-92 5.0L, 5.8L) will fit Mustangs up until the 1995 5.0L's.

    Do you need to change the oil pan gasket out when reinstalling the timing chain cover?

    • It's not required to change the oil pan gasket when installing the Comp Cams Magnum Double Roller Timing Chain Set, but it is recommended since it's fairly easy to do when installing this part.

      Great product

      Great product went on with out any problems. Looks great had the gear drive timing chain, but got tired of the whining noise. Comp Cams did a great job with this timing chain, best bang for your buck.
