Eliminate Body Flex. Excess chassis twist and body flex are not only annoying, but can adversely affect handling and rob you of power. The Competition Engineering sub-frame connectors are designed to add additional structure to your uni-body Mustang improving handling and eliminating power robbing chassis flex to get all your pony's to the road.

Bolt-in or Weld-in. Made in the USA, Competition Engineering designed these Subframe Connectors so they can be bolted or welded into place depending on your needs. And completed them with a black powder coat finish as a rust preventive.

Application. The Competition Engineering Subframe Connectors are designed to fit the 2005 to 2014 V6 or V8 Coupe Mustangs only, they will not fit convertible Mustangs.

Will they work with Boss 302 Side Exhaust?

Modification For Fitment Wanted to find out how much modification is required under the car of the 2011-2014 mustangs? Are they truly slid into place and weld or is there other work that needs to take place before they fit?

Will these subframe connectors work with my Boss's quad exhaust? Will I have to permanently remove the quad exhaust from my car for these subframe connectors to properly be mounted or will the quad exhaust fit around them?

Jacking point Can these also be used as a jacking point instead of the tiny holes in the plastic molding? I noticed that Hotchkis offers such a setup for the 2011+ coupes and am curious to know if these would be suitable for that as well.

  • They are not design to be a jacking point, but, they are strong enough to be used as one. You can also modify them by welding a plate to be used as jacking point.

    "The real deal"

    The owner of the shop that put these in personally had an 8.6 second quarter mile car and he said " those are the real deal " I find no flex at all now, very happy

    Not a quality bolt-in Subframe

    I bought these subframe connector based on Competition Engineering's reputation and the reviews. I was installing them on my 2012 GT500 w/10k miles and not track time. I am a fabricator and long time drag racer. The initial quality and design looked impressive out of the box. However fitment is subpar. Neither the passer side or drivers side rocker panel slotted mounts lined up. I called Competition Engineering tech. Support and was told that some modifications to the rocker mount was nessary. I got the drivers side to fit and it looked great. The passenger side would not fit at all. When you attached the subframe to the lower control arm mount, the rocker panel mount would hit the bottom of the car, leaving about a 3/4" gap below the front subframe mount, any presssure applied to the front, to try and get it to fit, would bind the rear control arm bolt. I called American Muscle and they were very helpful and understanding. They sent me another set of subframes but they gave me the same problem. I would not recommend buying these. Also these are heavy compared to other subframes I have had.

    Stiff frame

    The sub frame connectors are well built. The bolt in works great to alien and mark before welding in. After the insulation, took the car for a ride, you can feel the difference in the ride. Took the car to the track, the traction was better. The car squatted and down the track in a straight line.

    These work

    This is the first mod on my 2011 GT in preparation for a supercharger in 2014. I had almost 50K miles on the car, so I knew the feel of the car and could feel the improvement just backing down my driveway after installation. I did the bolt in, but used Devcon aluminum putty on the front mount points to really hold them in. The car feels stout and tied together and stays completely straight in hard launches when the tires break loose. There is also a huge improvement on interior noises, almost no buzzing or rattling of the plastics. I have 82K miles now and the body is still tight. I strongly recommend these as the foundation for power and handling upgrades to your S197 chassis.

    sub frame install

    parts came neatly boxed with all hard ware finish on bars was good the only way to due the job is with a lift must move fuel and brake lines left frt shield for lines and gas tank deflectors all will some refitting while there good time to change fuel filter few of the connector holes will need filing or drilling out and put sealant in hole made for frt bolt plates

    streight line performance

    if you want to stop the body roll and twist this kit works great, I bolted it and welded it that way it gives you a firmer ride but not too firm the 08 mustang gt still rides like glass very smooth and since it firms up the frame it gives better 60ft times and better 0-60mph time

    Stiff is Great

    The Product is great and works as advertised. Installation was by the bolt in technique and it provides significant stiffness to the chassis and allows the my car to fully load the tires both in lateral side force and longitudinal for/aft weight transfer. The vehicle utilizes the stock Ford Sway Bars and Shock/Spring settings in order to have a compliant suspension that allows street driving on all roadways with outstanding cornering grip both in dry and wet conditions as well as the snow in our operating region.Another American Muscle sold product that meets and exceeds expectations.

    CE Subframe Connectors

    Very pleased with this purchase. Absolutely makes my '08 GT feel completely a great way! They tie the front and back together and eliminates the body twist, which is of course what they are supposed to do. Everyone should own these. My mechanic told me they were a bit of a pain to install and he had to remove the wind deflection devices from the bottom of the car in order for them to fit....but that is more than a good trade off. One of my first mods along with adding some power w/FRPP CAI, Magna Flow Tru X-X pipe, Flowmaster Outlaw axle backs & a SR strut tower brace. Good power & the car handles awesome. If you're on the fence about getting it! You won't be disappointed.

    Must Have.

    After hours of research I stumbled upon these sub-frame connectors. They were a pain to put in by myself on jack stands but totally worth it in the end. However after some measuring I found some of the holes were off on the drivers side but no worries as I just egg shaped the hole and they went in. As for the aftermath of the install, the car does not even feel like the same car. I feel like the car is now to slow for the chassis and feels like it needs more power. turbo perhaps...

    No Bolts

    This product arrive and the box was in great shape, After opening it up it had NO bolts or directions, Just two subframe connectors that weight alot but look amazing. AM should inspect what they ship and Weights of items should be listed on there pages, it would help us order lighter items.

    There is a lot of well thought out engineering in these connectors.

    These connectors tie into the existing frame in four locations, twice as many as most others. The welds are beautiful, as is the powdercoating. The fit is also extremely precise, especially for such large pieces. On my first test drive, I soon noticed it was not "scrubbing off speed" with body flex in turns. My GT is more fun to drive as a result of being tied together with these connectors. They are an excellent improvement for my GT.

    Had no idea it would be so good!

    I read the ad for these subframe connectors and thought I'd give them a try. I told myself anything will be beneficial. However, after having them installed I was actually amazed at how much more HP I felt go to the wheels. My KR definitely lunchs much better. I will say I expect to see the overall results get better after I replace my rear tires, so I can't wait to test it after the new tires. I did notice after this installation the rear end launches straigther, but with tire tread almost at the tire marks and with more HP at the wheels the tires just spend big time now, but the rear end keeps straighter MUCH better.

    No Issues

    These fit just right, with the option to bolt or weld them on, you can choose what it right for you. The Difference is noticeable right away when you get it out on the road I personally just welded mine in place after I bolted them up. These are a must have for anybody wanting to get more power to the ground.

    A must add on....after installation...I bolted and welded them.....My Mustang launches like never before!!!! before it would just roast the tires, it still roasts the tires, but with a punch that will pin you in your seat!!!! Installed on a 2007 GT/CS
