Hey, guys. Stephanie with AmericanMuscle.com, here with this dead pedal cover for all 2015 and up S550 Mustangs. Some of you may have never noticed this before, but the pedals don't all match in the S550. The dead pedal is plain, while the other pedals have stainless steel covers on them. This is a brushed stainless steel dead pedal cover that matches the other pedals in the Mustang, so while it's not a mod that's gonna stand out to everyone, it is noticeable to those with a trained eye. So this is going to be a great option for those of you out there that pick up on the small little details and just want to add a little touch to the interior. Before seeing this product on the table here, I assumed that it was going to be a thin piece of metal, but it's actually a heavy duty gauge stainless steel. I wouldn't be worried about this flexing and breaking since it has some strength and durability to it. It's stainless steel and the brushed finish will match the other pedals, but it's also not going to tarnish or fade or rust. So if you've got a daily driver, you don't have to worry about that.As far as price, finally there's a mod for the S550 that's cheap. You're looking at spending under $50 for this cover, which is nice considering it is stainless steel and it is for an S550. There are some other dead pedal options that are available on the site. There's a polished one if you like that better, or you can always get a whole pedal set and just change the pedals all together if you want. I personally like the brushed finish, since it won't look bad if it gets a little dirty in between cleanings. The install here is really pretty easy. Now this does apply with 3M tape, so you will need to have a clean surface and use the adhesion permitter that this comes with. Once the surface is prepped, it's just a matter of pulling the backing off the 3M and pressing the cover into place. Overall, this is a one wrench install on our scale here and should take just about five minutes to complete.Wrapping things up here, this dead pedal cover is a stainless steel cover that will match your dead pedal with the rest of the pedals in your S550. It's a brushed finish and the material will hold up without tarnishing or fading. You can check it out more online, along with all your other S550 interior upgrades, right here, at AmericanMuscle.com.

I followed the directions and cleaned the surface as directed. I feel like the holes were too small, because part of the dead pedal was bowed up in the middle. I got it to sit half way even (again, pretty sure the middle of the petal wasn't touching the plastic) and used the 3E applicator as directed. It looked great. I got in the car an hour later to move it, and found the pedal laying on my carpet. Nowhere in the directions (or on the 3E applicator tube) does it say to not install it in colder weather. My garage is 46 degrees currently.Helpful (0)

It's what the factory dead pedal should have been.
Super easy install only took a few minutes and it looks great. This is what Ford should have done.Helpful (1)

Brushed Dead Pedal
I bought a brushed dead pedal for my 15' GT/PP 4 years ago and it fit and looked great to fill that void on the plain black dead pedal, I recently purchased a 19' GT350 and installed another brushed dead pedal....great dress up and extremely easy to install in 15 minutesHelpful (0)

Bought this for my 17 Gt premium with manual. The stock pedals are brushed aluminum not polished and this is an exact match to the other three factory pedals! Perfect!Helpful (0)

Matches and looks nice
Ok. One of the things that I have not been impressed with in the Mustang world of aftermarket parts is the general low quality and install issues of in general. This easy to install item is one of the rare exceptions. Easy install and if prepped properly, secure . Well made item that matches my other pedals. This one is a real thumbs upHelpful (0)

Fine and Fit
Goes on easy and looks like it came OEM, and goes well with brake and accelerator pedals.Helpful (0)
Where do I find the matching gas, brake, clutch and dead pedal set (Brushed Stainless ) as shown in your photo ? Thanks, Dave
The 15-17 Premium GTs came with chrome clutch, gas, and brake pedals from the factory. The Dead Pedal Cover is made to match that, which is what you see in the picture.
I have ecoboost premium. should i buy the brushed or polished to match with other pedals?
Would this fit a UK RHD 2016 GT?
The Dead Pedal Cover, has only been tested on the US variants. We would not be able to guarantee the fit on any RHD mustangs.
Do you sell the matching pedals for manual transmission to go with dead pedal? What is the difference between the brushed polished? Does AM sell a set of four pedal covers (dead pedal, clutch, brake and gas), in this style or similar?
We do not have any pedal covers that will match the style of the Dead Pedal Cover at this time. A brushed finish will look more textured and a polished finish is shiny. We do not sell a kit that comes with all 4 pedals at this time. We are constantly getting in new items, so keep checking back to our site!
do you sell matching pedals for automatic transmission to go with dead pedal?
Unfortunately we currently do not have the matching petals to go with this dead pedal.
The polished pedals would be closest to stock on that model.
The polished dead pedal cover would have a high gloss shine, whereas the brushed dead pedal cover will have more of a "satin-ish" finish.
