Patriotic Window Style. This Distressed Flag Quarter Window Decal provides some patriotic design and a subdued but stylish "cool factor" for your 2015-2018 Mustang's oft un-used quarter window. Its matte black finish and full coverage cut create a nice focal point without appearing too flashy.

Perfect Fit Guaranteed. AmericanMuscle Graphics vinyl designs have been test fit, refined, and tested again on our very own fleet of vehicles to assure a perfect fit every time.

Superior Quality Materials. AmericanMuscle Graphics uses only the highest quality Premium Cast Vinyl available on the market today - designed to last at least 8 years of harsh outdoor weather. It's far more durable than our competitors' cheap, calendared vinyl film which starts to degrade in just a couple of years!

Application. This Distressed Flag Quarter Window Decal in Matte Black is sold as a pair and makes for a perfect fit on any 2015-2018 Mustang Fastback, including the V6, EcoBoost, GT and GT350 models.

Hi I like really this, I tend to change my mind often. How are they to take off?

Helene

  • The Distressed Flag Quarter Window Decal can be taken off by peeling the decal from a corner. It will likely leave some residue, so we would recommend a low-solvency, glass-safe solvent to remove the residue.

Would this work on a 2014 mustang v6 convertible? And do you guys have other stuff like this for the body like a American flag for a 2014 mustang?

  • This particular graphic is for a 15-17 Mustang. However, we do carry the same graphic for a 10-14 Mustang here: https://www.americanmuscle.com/distresed-flag-quarter-window-decal-matte-blk-1014all.html We also have an American Muscle Flag body decal here https://www.americanmuscle.com/am-battle-borne-side-graphic-package-coupe-0517all.html

Is this a see through decal?

Thor48

  • The alternating stripes and the stars are open cuts on the vinyl, and you would be able to see through those areas.

    Look great but..

This is a great look for my 2016 mustang but I noticed so many flaws with this product. First one was that each flag are different dice by milimiters. Second one, you have to play around with each single flag strip in order to make it fit inside of the glass. My personal supposition was that they grabbed the measurement of the window without and moldings surranding the glass, that's why the fitment isn't right.... have a bottleneck of soppy water with you because you will defiantly need it... good luck!

    Seemingly impossible to install...

I've seen these installed on other Mustangs and they looked great so I ordered some for mine. Carefully following instructions, but they absolutely won't stick to the window. Decal is bigger than actual window (too long). I wish I could get this to work! $30 wasted...

    Instructions lacking

Subtle mod that looks good if it turns out correct. I suggest cutting as close to the vinyl as possible prior to test fitting. Make sure you clean your window good before final fit and mask. I installed mine without soap and water as there is enough going on without adding water and soap into the mix. Line up the decal on your window and mask tape rear half of decal to hold in place. Remove masking to expose decal on front portion and gently place against window. Use squeegee to push decal firmly against window. Pull back r masking slowly making sure the decal stays on window surface. Repeat on rear half of decal and you are pretty much done. Push out air bubbles with your finger or lift section and reapply slowly with sweegee preventing air pockets. Use some light heat around the edges and push down firmly with your fingers. Exacto blade works good to trim excess vinyl around edges.

    Nice option to scoop!

I've put on a lot of vinyl decals, experience is best with this one because it is a decal that is thin, has many small pieces, and thin pieces as well. If you are new to it, just go to a window tint shop and pay to get it done. I can't imagine it costing more than $40 or so. If you decide to do it yourself, use a spray bottle and follow the basic instructions included with it. There are parts that will need careful peeling of the paper, and if you find it hard, spray the window and the decal. Start it straight and if some fails to stay on the window, back up and use the mini squeegee to get the hard parts to stick. You might even need to help with your fingernail to get a part stuck to the window while you peel the paper. Position, spray, squeegee, fingernail if needed, and if it's not exactly positioned you may end up with a little to trim with a razor. Don't be in a hurry! I hope this helps.

    Looks great, but low quality.

This decal looks great, nice a subtle but catches the light just right. Unfortunately the quality seems rather low. The decals began peeling after just one wash. Not what I expected from 3M.

    Looks AMAZING!

This is my first time doing something like this. The first one i kinda did it in a hurry, i spent an hour on it, and had a few air bubbles. The second one (the other window) i took maybe like 2 hours on it and it came out really really good. So i suggest to really take your time. So overall it took me like less than 3 hours, and it was my first time doing something like this. I might order another one to get the first side to look as astonishing as the other one.

    American flag window grafic

The graphic looks great! I had never installed a graphic before. I watched the video and read the instruction. I also read all the customer comments as well. The best advise is to have a partner help. The extra set of hand definitely helped. The key seems to be to go slow. There are many little pieces to the graphic. If I went to fast they would start to stick to the tape. Stop, back up, add pressure with the squeegee, and go slow. It also seemed to go better if I started at the wider end with the stars and worked across to the narrower end with the stripes. I definitely think it's worth the 30 buck!

Great idea...If your good with 3M film application

This looked OK, mainly because I had a hard time getting it lined up and applied. The directions and materials are great. However, I still must have missed something. It has so many small cut-out pieces and it was hard to get it to release from the film making it skew and move, and in some thin line spots break meaning I had to manually put that now separated piece back into place. When I was finished, I came back 30-40 min later to check how it was drying and I had many pieces that were sticking up, corners mainly. I messed with it and a heat gun on low for another 30 min before I threw in the towel. Not accounting for my lack of sticker skills...this did have the look I wanted minus the corners that still rolled up. Bottom line - If your good with this stuff and have some experience with it is a good deal and product. If not, get it and have a local tint shop or 3M Application shop put it on, and you will be happy. In the end, I removed it because the corners would just not stay down, and to me it made my car look somewhat cheap because of my lack of application skills. The product was great. Install was maybe 1 hour, but because I kept going back to try and get the corners to stay down, it ended up taking better part of an afternoon.

    Not a simple decal installation.

First things first, I have installed half a dozen vinyl graphics from AM with almost no issues... Until this one. The adhesive was so aggressive that every tiny corner (of which there are dozens) would get stuck to the backing, no matter how much soapy water it was soaked in. Long story short, it ended up tearing off a small section of one of the stripes at which point I threw the entire side in the trash. The other side will go for a buck at a coming garage sale. AM could have made this much simpler by leaving a border on the leading edge of the decal. Even a perforated or lightly cut one that could be removed.

    Looks great

They look great. It takes a little patience because of all the small pieces when you pull the paper off. It took about half an hour per side. That is taking my time to do it right.

    Looks good, quality...

I am pretty happy with the design, but the quality of the vinyl is much lower than what I'm used to in the automotive market. Don't let that keep you from buying, but don't expect these decals to last forever either.

    Waste of Money

Was excited about this product however the instructions are horrible. Did not understand which side to peel first. When I sprayed the paper with the solution the paper stuck in some places and refused to come off. With many small pieces it becomes even more difficult. Spend your hard earned money on something else.

Ok, so how did most of you

separate the paper backing from the transfer sheet and yet keep the sticker relatively intact? Like another poster - mine fell apart into 50 pieces - this is not one single easy to install decal. The cut of the decal I was sent was made up of many tiny pieces that would not remove from the hard paper backing. Trying to peel individual pieces turned it into a mess.
