    Upgrade OEM Gears. Are you looking to upgrade to a stronger set of rear gears? Then look no further than installing a set of genuine Ford Racing Gears in your Pony. Ford Racing Ring and Pinion Gears are perfect for street, road, and race applications.

    Superior Quality. Manufactured in the USA, these Ford Racing Mustang ring and pinion gears feature a super strong forged construction, CNC cut & lapped gear teeth, and are completed in a black oxide finish to resist corrosion.

    Recommended Upgrade. Changing the rear axle gear ratio will throw off the calibration of your Mustangs speedometer, but a new Speedometer Gear is an inexpensive way to fix this issue.

    Application. This Ford Racing Ring and Pinion Gear set will fit all 1994 to 1998 4.6L V8 Mustangs. A master bearing kit is recommended by most installers, especially on high mileage vehicles, see drop down option above.

    Technical Note. Installation costs will vary, but a good rule of thumb is between $250 and $300. Be sure to work with a reliable shop that you trust for installations. You can also save money on your installation labor by having your Trac-Lok rebuilt at the same time as your gears are installed, see drop down option above.

      3.31 gears are better than expected

      I bought my 95 GT stock with 3.08 gears and I quickly made the jump to 4.10 for the fun factor. But after 3 years of modifications it was time to step back down. 4.10's had me at 3,000 rpm at 80mph. And now on the same gear it's only 2,400. My car put down 323lb/ft on the Dyno and even with this lower gear Ratio she still pulls in overdrive. I've noticed less shifting around town but more shifting on the expressway. I couldn't be happier with this modification.
