This heavy-duty short block is engineered with high compression forged pistons with H-beam connecting rods. What’s more, this short block comes with a powerful 11.0:1 compression ratio. This makes it the ideal short block for those building a naturally aspirated engine that is intended for high-performance race applications. 

    Built to Be Tough. This Coyote aluminator short block has been manufactured from lightweight aluminum. Its bottom-end has been made more durable with cross-bolted main bearing caps with sturdy main bearing bulkheads. This engine block is assembled with Mahle hard anodized forged pistons and protected by a corrosion-proof Graphal low friction coating. Moreover, this short block includes billet steel gerotor oil pump and pickup tube, and Manley H-beam connecting rods with ARP 2000 bolts.

    Application. The Ford Performance 5.0L Coyote Aluminator N/A Short Block with 11.0:1 Ratio has been specifically designed for all Ford Mustangs.

        Ok so does this come with a complete rotating assembly or not? I see AM staff saying it does and doesn't on other answers.

        • Yes, this comes with a crankshaft along with a complete rotating assembly already installed in the block.

        Can this engine be boosted? and if so what is its maximum horsepower rating? 1000?

        • This is simply just the block and still needs all the internals to make it a full engine which can be boosted. This has not been tested for max rating as each build is different and had different outcomes.

        Why would this not be suitable for forced induction?

        • As this is simply just the block and still needs all the internals to make it a full engine. This has not been tested for maximum power ratings, and every build is different and has different outcomes. As such, it cannot be outright recommended for forced induction applications.
