Enhanced Handling. Give your S550 Fastback a suspension overhaul and gain precision handling with a Sway Bar and Spring Kit from Ford Racing. Improve steering response, decrease body roll in corners, reduce squat during acceleration and diminish excessive nose-dive under hard braking are just a few of the benefits you'll see by installing this handling package. Offered in one convenient kit, you can turn your 2015-2018 GT or EcoBoost into a corner carving machine in no time.

Sway Bar Kit. Constructed from heavy duty steel for superior strength and durability, the included 36.5mm Front Sway Bar and 25mm Rear Sway Bar will diminish dreaded body roll, improve responsiveness while steering and enhance handling performance. Both sway bars are completed in a Ford Racing blue finish, offering superb corrosion resistance and impressive good looks.

Street X-Springs. The Street Springs found in this kit are designed to work in unison with the upgraded Sway Bars, offering all-around improved handling dynamics. With an approximate 1" drop at all four corners, these X-Springs will lower your Fastback's center of gravity and allow you to feel more in control of your S550. Not only will handling improve, the one inch drop is perfect to help eliminate the 4x4 look most Mustang owners despise. These progressive rate Street Lowering Springs will deliver an aggressive stance to your GT or EcoBoost without sacrificing any ride quality.

Improved Ride Comfort. To take this handling package one step further, Ford Racing includes front and rear Jounce Bumpers that aid to maintain a pleasant ride quality. They look very similar to the factory bumper stops, but they're made of a softer compound. When they compress, they'll release slower than stock to provide a less violent chassis reaction when the vehicle bounces off of them.

Clears Stock and Aftermarket Wheels & Tires. The Street Springs in this package will be compatible with factory size wheels and tires. They also fit when using a pre-configured AmericanMuscle GT or EcoBoost Wheel and Tire Combo Kit, which will ensure proper clearance with no rubbing issues.

Application. This Ford Racing Street Sway Bar and Spring Kit is specifically designed for use on 2015-2018 GT and EcoBoost Fastback Mustangs that is not equipped with the MagneRide Suspension. Does not fit Convertible or V6 models.

Will this kit work on my 2016 Ford Mustang Eco-boost premium?

Will this kit work if I'm running the AM 19" rim with 305's in the rear and 255 in the front

    • That will indeed all fit together!

I have two questions. First, I have a 2015 GT Premium convertible, and this and other sway bar and lowering kits on your pages apparently don't fit the convertible; and yet my Ford dealer up here in Canada has ordered it (M-5700-M) for my car. The guy knows my car and knows it's a convertible, so I'm confused. Should I question him about that more explicitly? Second, I have 20 inch wheels on my mustang. Will this kit lower the car too much for that size of wheel? What problems might I expect if any because of that?

    • The Ford Performance Street Sway Bar & Spring Kit is designed by Ford for the Fastback. This could be used on the convertible, but may require minor modification to work properly.

I have a 2015 GT automatic. Love the car except for ride quality which is very "bouncy", especially over undulations in the pavement. Would this product help smooth the ride and decrease oscillation or is the stock suspension better for overall comfort?

    • The stock suspension would be the best for comfort overall yes. If you have a 2015 performance pack mustang, your call will already have this kit on it. The only difference will be the spring rate and the springs will drop you an inch. However if you are looking for ride comfort I would stick with the stock suspension.

I have a 2017 S550 on order with the performance package. I'm putting a supercharger on it and want to reduce the jerking when I shift that comes from the stock suspension. Would this set up suffice if I'm not planning on tracking/racing my car? Or should I go for the complete ford performance suspension kit to reduce roll and jerking? I should mention I would like to still use the different driving modes if possible.

    • This suspension kit will do an excellent job at increasing handling and reducing body roll. Though, it may be a good idea to get all new shocks and struts since you are going to be adding a significant amount of power. It all comes down to how much and where you will be driving the car.

OK this maybe a stupid question. I have a 2015 GT Premium what would be the point of installing this suspension over the Ford Performance Full Suspension kit? Wouldn't it just make sense to spend a few dollars more for a kit with everything included? Thanks

    • The Ford Performance Street Sway Bar & Spring Kit - Fastback (15-17 GT, EcoBoost) can be a great kit for someone that may want to go with a different set of shocks and struts. The Ford Performance Street Handling Pack - Fastback (15-17 GT, EcoBoost), item # 389955, ( is the perfect kit for anyone that would like to purchase everything together. You are guaranteed that everything will work together. Not to mention the struts and springs already come pre-assembled to make for an easier install. Both come with the needed hardware to install as well. It may just be easier to go with a kit that comes with everything, but it also depends on the specific build you are trying to achieve.

      Daily Driver Friendly

Drop is around 1 inch all around and is perfect for daily driving here on the rough streets of LA. The drop is mild but works as advertised. The sway bars are thicker than the stock, non performance ones and looks good too. Handling is better; not rough but tight/firm. I do not scrape since it's only an inch.

      Ford Performance

Had the springs and sway bars installed by my local shop. the sway bars are a lot more rigid than the factory ones, and much lighter in weight. The springs lowered the car as advertised, and firmer when driven hard.

      Lower to the ground!

After installing these, you will notice big difference in you ride. Ride is very comfortable and feels like your are sitting on the ground. Cornering is a lot easier.
