How to Install Ford Performance Aluminum One-Piece Driveshaft on your Mustang

  • M10 flanged bolt (qty:2)
  • M10 socket-head bolt (qty:4)
  • 10mm socket
  • 12mm socket (12-pt )
  • 13mm socket
  • Threadlocker (Loctite 243 (blue))
  • Torque wrench (0-100 ft-lbs)

1) Disassemble and remove the old driveshaft using the following sockets: 10mm (6 axle CV flange bolts), 12-pt 12mm (4 transmission flange bolts), 13mm (2 center support bolts). Save the 4 transmission flange bolts as they will be re-used in Step 6.

2) Pre-lnsertthe 2 provided flanged bolts In the holes of the round flange as shown In the drawing.

3) Slide the new driveshaft into position (round flange toward the rear of vehicle).

4) Align the two bolts and thread them into the threaded holes of the CV axle flange. Tighten until they are lightly snug and the flange is fully seated.

5) Thread the provided four socket head bolts until they are lightly snug on the flange. Finish by torqueing the bolts to 41 ft lbs working in a "star pattern."

6) Apply blue Loctite to the 4 original transmission flange bolts. Connect the square flange to the transmission flange with the four original bolts using an "X pattern" and then torque to 76 ft-lbs.
