      Description

Modular 5.0L. Now you can install a Ford Racing Boss Modular 5.0L Engine Block in your very own SN95 Mustang on the cheap. This block reuses everything from your stock GT's 4.6L V8, all you need to supply is a new set of larger pistons and brand new 5.0 is complete.

Built Ford Tough. This Boss 5.0 iron block features a 4.6L deck height and a 94mm cylinder bore. It is cast in Ford's Cleveland plant using a proprietary iron mix to yield the strongest casting possible.

Additional Features. Featuring a Siamese 94mm Bore and a 4 Bolt Main with interference fit nodular iron machined caps, this Ford Racing Modular 5.0L block has increased main web window size for less oil movement and greater power.

Application. This Ford Racing Boss Modular 5.0L Engine Block is designed to be direct fit replacement for the stock 4.6L block of the 1996 to 2004 GT Mustang.

Technical Note. This is a bare block, no internals are included. This block does not have a finished milled head deck or cylinder bores. Your engine builder will need to mill the deck and finish bore, then hone each bore specifically for the combination being installed.

NOTE: Ships Continental 48 States ONLY. No Canada, APO/FPO, Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, Guam or Us Virgin Islands.

If shipping to a business, please include the business name. Also, after your order is placed, be prepared to let us know if you will need a Lift-Gate service. You will be contacted via email before your order ships.

        FP Boss 5oh Block

Everything has gone smooth from the machining to the install. Great upgrade after my stock block was bad the stock heads minor upgrades Ford GT/GT500 rocker arms and new lifters, and upgraded to Diamond Pistons. Made 619/572 on e85 Lethal Performance Division X RSFS Dual Walbro's 465lph with a 3.25" pulley on the 2.6 Kenne Bell. Not 100 on the boost 17,18lbs.

        4 2001 GT - chip

        Great all bore 5.0

I think for modular, Pre coyote, this is about as good as it gets, less than liners and machine work on a aluminum block to get a big bore, cooling is improved, mains webbing is better, venting is better, the only downside is weight, about 6-10 pounds more as measured over a Romeo block, also I would not call this a true 4 bolt main, it’s 2 mains, and side bolts, also a big bore may not be the best for boost over 20. Just a heads up.

        1 1999 GT - sm34947

        Beware

There are no machine shops in my area that can mill the deck. Better make sure you have one because American Muscle won't let you return it. I know because i tried and was told ne returns. Now i have a block That's just setting.

I'm currently rebuilding my Mach 1. I was going to get my heads block machined for new forged rods, pistons valve train etc... If I decided to use this block can I keep my machs 8 bolt crank? Can I keep my oem cams as well?

      • This Ford Performance Boss Modular 5.0L Engine Block would use all the same parts on your existing 4.6L block. So you should be able to keep your existing crankshaft and camshafts.

What is a good piston to go in this block?

      • Get a Boss 302 Crankshaft, Manley H-beam rods, Diamond pistons, and some good bearings. I run a 1000+ WHP Turbo setup with those internals, but not all the time. A stronger block would allow that safely.

What all would I need to swap this into a 2007 GT

      • The Ford Performance Boss Modular 5.0L Engine Block is a 4.6L that is bored out to accept 5.0L displacment. This will accept all existing parts from your vehicle with the exception of the rotating assembly (Pistons, Connecting Rods, and Crankshaft), though this will benefit largely from a tune and cams as well.
