Power Pack 3. If you're looking to get the most out of your 2015-2017 GT Mustang then Ford Racing's Stage 3 Power Pack is for you. The Power Pack 3 includes the same exact Intake Manifold, Cold Air Intake and 87mm Throttle Body that are found as original equipment on the VooDoo powered Shelby GT350. Featuring a high flow design, this combo kit will dramatically improve air flow for a significant increase in power and performance. After installation of the Stage 3 Power Pack you will see peak gains of 37 Horsepower and 5 ft/lbs of Torque, and a massive gain of 60 horsepower at 7500 RPM. The Ford Racing stage 3 Power Pack is ideal for those that are looking for high revving power gains.

Complete Kit. The Ford Racing Power Pack 3 comes complete and includes a GT350 Intake Manifold, GT350 Cold Air Intake Kit, GT350 87mm Throttle Body, a Ford Performance ProCal Tool and new calibration. Easy to follow installation instructions are also included. Please Note, a Laptop/PC is not included with this kit.

Ford Performance Calibration. Ford Performance calibrations feature exclusive Ford proprietary software and engineering to assure that your Mustang is running at its peak performance. Fords exclusive no-lift shift strategy and enhanced throttle response will have you banging through all 6 gears without lifting your foot. Calibrations for automatic equipped Mustangs feature an optimized performance shift schedule to provide more aggressive shift points and firmness. The ProCal tool will also support rear ring and pinion gear changes up to 4.09:1. The included ProCal tool will require the use of a laptop (not included) and internet access for installation of the Ford Performance calibration.

Can I use a Diablo sport or after market tuner with the PP3, or will the pro tool cal that's sent do the same thing?

  • The Ford Performance Power Pack 3 will come with the Pro Cal tool which is Ford Performance's tuner, and will do the same as SCT and Diablosport's offerings. The disadvantage to the Pro cal is that this is not supported for aftermarket tunes.

How does this pack affect the drive modes on premium models?

  • The Ford Performance Power Pack 3 (15-17 GT) will not have an affect on your driver modes. This will affect the performance of your car. Your driver modes will still change the same settings that they do, but your car will now have added power and run even more efficiently in those driving modes.

Hi, my question is that I have a 2017 California Special which came with a Strut tower brace.After installation of the power pack 3 will the brace still fit under the hood?

  • The OEM strut tower brace would fit with the Ford Performance Power Pack 3.

I am planning to add a supercharger in the future but I want to increase the power. Will there be an issue upgrading to a supercharger after I add this?

  • Hey Michael, So the issue would only be in what supercharger you were planning to get. If you get a roots style super charger (TVS systems) like roush, vmp, or whipple, you would essentially be removing the voodoo intake manifold that you just purchased because they themselves are basically an intake manifold. As for the centrifugal superchargers like procharger, vortech, and paxton, they are front mounts and don't require removal of the intake manifold. So you'd be able to keep the voodoo system and add the supercharger for optimal gains.

I have 4.10 gears in my 15 GT. does this mean the tuner will not work for my car? If so, why wouldn't it? And i previously read that you do not recommend turning the engine to 8k rpm, what is the reason for this? There are many tuners who have 8k tunes for these engines.

  • The Ford Performance Power Pack 3 uses the ProCal3 tuner, which operates based on the OEM Ford software interfaces. Because of this, tunes cannot be written by Ford for gear ratios exceeding 4.09:1 numerically. While the engine is capable of 8000rpm, this severely reduces the reliability of the valvetrain, and increase the chances of dangerous issues such as valve float, and low oil pressure in the heads at high RPM.

    Best upgrade for a 5.0

    This upgrade really added a great deal of more fun to my 2016 Mustang GT Convertible Premium. I don’t really notice much of a difference in regular driving mode, but once I drop it in Sport mode, the car turns into the Incredible Hulk. After cheeping second, you are going 80 before you know it and hitting 7800 RPM’s. It also increased my fuel efficiency as I can get over 30 MPG now going 65 mph whereas before I was getting 24 MPG.

    My Stang

    Nice install Procal3 flash tune does not work. Had to get an older tune from Ford. That tune does not have the no lift option. Not to please with Ford Performance at this time. I want a tune that works. I did pay for that!

    I love the power pack stage 3. I got it to add a little power to my daily driver, and man is it great. I am not a pro racer or anything like that but man, this power pack makes you put your car on a track and bring it to 7500 rpm every single time you get on the gas. it seems to improve the responsiveness a bit more when your at low rpms, but why would you want to drive at low rpm with this power pack anyway ? I get a little more of a crackle and pop in my corsa cat back exhaust but nothing to crazy. The best thing about this pack other than the power is how linear the power builds to the top of the rev range, so for anyone who wants this pack I highly recommend it !!!!!!!!!!!!

    Track Perfection . . . Almost

    The performance and sensory gains from the PP3 with Borla Touring exhaust are AWESOME! The PP3 really lets the Coyote mill breathe like a Shelby, raising the redline to 7,800 and adding 60hp to the wheels. This is rip-SNORTIN' good fun on the track . . . IF you can handle the unpredictable effects the PP3's throttle behaviors can have at the apex of a turn. I’m referring to the sudden and intermittent throttle 'hang' and 'cut off' conditions that seem to be part of the PP3’s tune. The 'no lift shift strategy' throttle mapping is probably well suited for banging thru the gears on a drag strip without lifting. But on a road course, the PP3’s throttle response characteristics are a bit unsettling - literally - and I would love to see them ironed out. Another weird throttle behavior is the rev limiter kicking in @ 5,500rpm under WOT, 'bap, bap, bap', when even the slightest touch is applied to the clutch pedal. This quirk relates to the cruise control defeat switch, which I'm told can be adjusted. The PP3 is a great enhancement to the performance of my GT, and I'm FLOORED that it's covered under my new car warranty! I appreciate that FORD supports our addiction to the speed fixes we get at local tracks and drag strips. And I get that FORD will have a hard time changing anything due to the current 50-state EPA requirements. Maybe Ford Performance will work with the TUNER community to design an ‘off road’ mapping application that will really make this hardware/software combo rock!
