    Review & Install Video

Hey guys, I'm Justin with AmericanMuscle.com. This video's designed to show you everything you need to know about the TPMS sensors in your 2015 and up Mustang, why you need them, how to order them, and how to sync them up to your ride. For those of who don't know, TPMS stands for tire pressure monitoring system, and it's something that was introduced on all cars in 2007. Now, the actual sensor itself is located on your valve stem. The sole purpose of this system and the sensor itself is to alert you, the driver, when tire pressures reach unsafe levels. Why do you need them? Well, if you purchase brand new after-market wheels and tires and you do not get the sensors installed, you will trigger a warning light on the dashboard. And depending on your state's laws, it might casue you to fail your local inspection. So that covers the what and the why. Now let's talk about how you order them. It's actually pretty simple. If you order any of our pre-built tire and wheel combo kits here at AmericanMuscle.com, or even the single wheel by themselves, you do get the option of either purchasing the TPMS sensors or the optional tool here from a dropdown menu. Now, one thing that is worth pointing out, if you have this tool from a previous generation Mustang or previous set of wheels, you do not need to order another one as it is universal. To start the syncing process with your 2015 and up Mustang, you're going to need the tool I just talked about along with your key fob. With the S197 you use the actual key to start the syncing process. But since the 2015 and up Mustangs utilize a start/stop button we'll use that instead. Before getting started, make sure your cell phone is turned off and that you're at least 20 feet from other vehicles, otherwise you might interfere with the syncing process. To start, press the brake pedal and then release it. After that, press the start/stop button three times, and on the third time, leave the car in the start or accessory-on position. Press the brake pedal again and release it. Repeat the process of hitting the start/stop button three times. On the third and final time, the car's horn should sound, letting you know you can start the syncing process. Leave the car in the start or accessory-on position. At this point, follow the directions on the dash. It will tell you what tire to train, starting with the front left or driver side tire. You'll need to aim the syncing tool at the valve stem making sure the arrow on the tool is aligned with the valve stem itself. Hold the green button down and wait for the horn to honk. This means the tire has been synced to your ride properly. Repeat that step for the right-front, right-rear and finally the left-rear. If you forget the order, just look at the display in the gauge cluster. It will tell you what tire to sync next. If everything is successful, you should see "training complete" on the dashboard, letting you know your TPMS sensors are functioning properly. As always, if you have any more questions about this process or need additional help, feel free to reach out to a Mustang expert anytime.

Turns Off Dash Light. Your S550 Mustang's Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) alerts you when the pressure drops to an unsafe limit. This a great safety feature, but if you plan on upgrading to a new set of rims you will need to install a set of sensors in your new wheels, if not you will have an annoying dash light constantly reminding you that your sensors are missing. This Ford Racing TPMS Sensors and Activation Tool Kit makes it possible to install new sensors into your new rims and sync them to your cars computer - eliminating that annoying dash light.

TPMS Transmitter Tool. The Ford Racing TPMS Transmitter is used to sync the new sensors to your cars computer after you have installed them onto your S550 Mustang. You simply point the transmitter at the wheel listen for the cars horn and move to the next tire - it is that easy.

Kit Contents. This Ford Racing TPMS Kit comes complete for use on four wheels and includes 4 Stem-Mounted TPMS Sensors and 1 TPMS Transmitter Tool. This kit makes it easy to switch between your stock rims and aftermarket rims at will. The TPMS Transmitter Tool can be purchased separately if you already have your sensors.

Important Tire Rotation Note. When rotating tires that are equipped with TPMS sensors, it is important to reuse the TPMS Transmitter Tool to recalibrate the sensors. By rotating your tires, you are changing the physical location of the sensors and your car's computer will need to update to be aware of this location change. Failure to do so will result in inaccurate and incorrect low tire pressure monitoring.

      The best TPMS

For the price, you can't beat the OG TPMS sensor from Ford. These sensors were bought to replace the yellow TPMS sensors also sold here. I went through two replacements of the yellow ones before switching to these. I have had zero TPMS issues since switching to these ones. Only con is you have to buy a pack of 4.

      Perfect!!....Don't buy the other ones!

Highly recommend these over the other non Ford OEM sensors. I had major problems...along with everyone else it appears (read the reviews)...with the set AM recommends when you purchase a tire and or rim. I return those...JUNK...and purchased the Ford's. They work perfect...no issues at all.

      Solves all your problems

Follow the instructions and you can rotate your tires, if you don’t have wedged widths or install a separate set for the track and have your tire pressure monitored

      Great Sensors...

I had to purchase these TPMS Sensors as alternatives to the sensors that get installed in the AM Wheel and Tire Kits... The sensors that came with the Wheel and Tire Kit kept dropping connection to the cars system every single day (TPMS Sensor Failure). These Ford Performance Sensors have not dropped once since I had them installed a few weeks ago. Good product and I recommend them above all others.
