The Hooker BlackHeart 1993-2002 GM F-Body Transmission Crossmember enables seamless installation of modern or aftermarket transmissions behind LS engines in 4th-gen F-body vehicles, including both Camaro and Firebird models. Designed to support a variety of transmission types, this crossmember offers a reliable and sturdy foundation for muscle car upgrades and LS engine swaps.
Construction and Appearance. Fabricated from robust steel, the crossmember is CAD designed to ensure optimal fitment, structural integrity, and ease of installation. It features a semi-gloss black powder coat finish that provides corrosion resistance and a sleek, durable appearance.
Installation. Installation generally requires the use of separately available adapter brackets for transmission types other than the 4th-gen T-56 or aftermarket T56 Magnum. Some transmission swaps, such as with 4L80/4L85 models, may require additional body modifications or bracing. This ensures a secure, proper fit tailored to the transmission chosen.
