Improves Handling. The most popular progressive rate spring in H&R's line-up, Super Sport Springs will lower your Mustangs center of gravity, to reduce squat during acceleration, body roll in the corners, and excessive nose-dive under hard braking. Sport Springs feature more control than that of the stock springs, but are still comfortable enough for daily driving and occasional track use.

Aggressive Stance. The H&R Super Sport Springs not only improve the handling of your S197 Mustang, but they also improve the overall appearance by lowering the ride height approximately 1.7" in the front and 1.9" in the rear to eliminate that nasty raised 4x4 truck look for a more aggressive muscle car stance.

Application. This set of four H&R Super Sport Springs are designed specifically for use on the 2005 to 2009 Coupe and Convertible Mustangs, including the V6, GT, and Bullitt models. Does not fit the Shelby GT500.

would i need an adjustable panhard bar with these springs?

  • It is not needed but it is recommended because it often messes with alignment below the car.

    H&R SS

Overall a great product with instant results both good and some not so good.Handling is now at least 50% better than without, the look of the car is awesome! Really turn some heads with the new stance. On the flip side I recommend installing other items along with this spring set. Shocks, struts, UCA's and LCA's.Ride is horrible without the proper setup you will regret installing the springs alone. H&R is reputable company with many accolades I am satisfied with their product.

great handling and amazing new look

I bought these springs about two weeks ago and i installed them my cousin about a week ago. i am only 17 and my couzin is 15 so think twice before you go to a shop, because theye will charge 250-500$ for the springs and the camber plates. it took me about 8 hrs and the only tools i had were the ones laying around the house. love the drop and the handling is much improved.

    Nice Stance

With these springs and tokico shocks and struts my mustang was sitting low and looking mean. I added 20x10 shelby razors (gunmetal) with 255 high speed pro-rated low profile tires and they fit perfect. The handlin is increadiible, but be sure to upgrade to gas shocks so the ride is smooter. Great product, and usually costs about $800.00- $900.00 to install professionally. The kit also stays in alignment very well. If I can fit 20x10 rims/tires then this kit can fit any tire/rim combo. so dont be afraid to lower it this much.

These springs are great to improve handling

Great product. You will have to modify all of your bump stops. The downside is going over speed bumps, since it's being lower almost 2'' in the rear, you will have to modify your exhaust hose as well. Over all if you're careful, you shouldn't have any problems at all. I ran the stock suspension for a while and it wasn't that bad, but I would recommend upgrading if you're planning on beating the suspension. Tokico D Spec Adj. Strut & shock kit and these spring will put fun back in driving.

Awesome product, great drop, improved handling

Bought these springs for my 05 GT and i couldnt be happier. I had these in my 02 GT and when i got my 05 i knew the first thing i waas doing to it was buying these. They improve the handling, you can take a corner like a champ. The ride is a lot better you can feel the car hug the ground. The only downside is going over bumps (it feels like your suspension is made of bricks) but you take the good with the bad adn there are definitely more pros than cons when it comes to these.

I got these installed today for $300.00, price included alignment. Would have been $250.00 without. The lowered look is everything I hoped it would be! I was afraid of how my ride home would feel based on forums and reviews but it actually was a nicer ride than stock!

Waited around a year to put these bad boys on!

So the story is i bought a bunch of parts from AM over the course of a year and I didn't want to make it Busch league, so I just saved up for everything. So i ordered these then ordered Tokico's blue shocks and struts, camber bolts and then a adjustable panhard bar. Install wasn't as bad as i thought it would be, at first i was going to bring it to the shop but the more and more i thought about it i convinced my old man that we could do it and that it was easy, of course it took a little persuasion lol but in the end i got through to him. Springs were very well built in germany BUT it came with a little american flag sticker!! haha car looks amazing after the drop the back end now looks like a sports car and not a F-350 lol. Overall i am very happy with how everything looks!

    Great springs

It took me an hour to install these springs. Once I finish I took it for a test drive and first turn i could feel the difference it's more stiff and smooth on the turns. Also you can feel every bump on the road which I don't mind. If your thinking of buying springs I recommend there because it gets rid of the tire to fender gap an gives car an aggressive look.

    Aggressive appearance

Put these springs on in just a few hours before taking my car to the drag strip. They help drastically with the launch and stopping, and really make my car look aggressive. I am running stock struts/springs, which I recommend upgrading along with the springs. Very easy to instal and the handling and appearance of the car are deffinately worth it.

    Super sport springs

ive had my hr ss springs on for over a year with just an adjustable pan hard bar, stock struts and stock shocks with no major issue, the ride is in NO WAY unbearable, a lot of people will say that you need his and that or it will feel awful, but the truth is it is still a comfortable ride, to get the full results you will need other things(shocks struts) but you can definitely drive around with stock suspension and springs and be comfortable.

    Nice handling!

These springs definetly increased the handling on my stang, not to mention the stance. The only issue that I have is that the ride quality is harsh. I guess that is what is expected when lowering a mustang. I will be changing the shocks and struts later to help improve the ride.

    Product works as promised

Springs arrived as scheduled in a box with installation instructions and warranty info. Installation was as described without any "by the ways" thrown in. Installation was straight forward and simple to do. My Mustang looks sharp lowered and handles like a race car. Excellent product, easy to install. Just follow the directions.

    awesome look

The springs lowered my stang 2 inches and look amazing. I installed caster/camber plates as well and would recommend installing them with the springs. Also, a front alignment is needed after install. You can feel every bump in the road but I don't mind. Improved handling and reduced the "squat" during braking and acceleration.

    Lower than the Titanic

This set of springs is definitely worth the money. It took me about 2.5hrs to install it and all. Used was a bottle jack, jack stands and tools from harbor freight, so you can imagine, it isn't that hard to install them.

    Looks Sharp!

Installed H&R Springs in 6a hours! Made my car look completely different! The ride is a little rougher, but the handling difference is amazing! I can take sharp turns at incredible speed with no problem! You have to know how to drive your car with these springs or you will hit everything! GREAT BUY!
