Protect Your Vehicle. J&M Full-Length Jacking Rails are designed to protect the rocker panels and factory jacking points. You might jack up the sides of the car at the track, performing oil changes, or you might end up with a jacking point hit during off-roading. Jacking rails also protect factory pinch welds and rocker panels from damage including folding and collapsing.

Durable Finish. The J&M Full-Length Jacking Rails come in a durable black powder coat. They won't stand out significantly under the vehicle, but they will be easy to spot. The coating resists chipping and other forms of damage.

Installation. Installation is easy and quick. Remove the factory hardware from the underside of the rocker panel in the front and rear of your Ford Mustang. Then, use the included hardware to bolt the new jacking rails to the underside of the car. That's all it takes.

Application. These Black J&M Chassis Jacking Rails are specifically designed for use on 2015 to 2017 Fastback Mustangs, including the V6, EcoBoost, GT and Shelby GT350 models. Not intended for use on Convertible models.

These fit perfect and are by far the best bang for the buck. Install took 20 minutes and it's nice to be able to jack the car in the garage.

Will these add much structual support to the chassis? and how much do they weigh?

Garrett

  • Hello! The J&M Full Length Chassis Jacking Rails are designed to protect and reinforce the jacking points. They will not offer too much structural chassis support. We do not have the exact weight, but the shipping weight is 24lbs.

    J M Jacking Rails

Solidly and thoughtfully built, but the pair weigh 25-30 lbs. A bit tricky, but they are installable with the car on the ground. I loosely supported a rail with a floor jack and aligned the mounting holes by feel and a light and mirror. (All unnecessary if you have a lift.) Had difficulty aligning bolts with threaded holes in chassis, and there is a real risk of cross threading if not aligned perfectly. I solved that problem entirely by slightly enlarging the mounting holes in the rails by reaming with a 7/16 inch powered drill bit. (Opening the holes by less than 1/16 inch.) It took less than 5 minutes for all 8 holes, but would take forever with a small file. Suggest you screw in all four bolts on each rail first to ensure alignment, then remove bolts one-by-one and reinstall one-by-one using blue Locktite on the bolts as there are no lock washers supplied.
