High-RPM Valvetrain Stability. The PAC Dual 1204X Valve Spring Kit is designed to fit 1998-2002 5.7L Chevrolet Camaro models and 2010-2015 Chevrolet Camaro SS and ZL1 models, delivering enhanced valvetrain control for high-performance applications. Engineered with dual spring configuration and advanced metallurgy, this kit improves spring surge control and supports stable operation at elevated RPM levels.
Construction and Appearance. Finished in polished chrome and raw metal, this kit includes (16) dual springs, (16) Kelford titanium retainers, (16) steel locators, and (16) Viton stem seal kits. The springs are built from premium Japanese spring steel wound in the USA and manufactured using advanced heat treatment processing and surface nano-peened techniques to increase strength, fatigue resistance, and long-term durability.
Installation. Designed as a direct replacement kit, these components install using factory mounting locations within the cylinder head assembly. Proper installation procedures, including verification of installed height and coil bind clearance, are recommended to ensure optimal valvetrain performance and reliability.
Application. This PAC Dual 1204X Valve Spring Kit fits 1998-2002 5.7L Chevrolet Camaro models and 2010-2015 Chevrolet Camaro SS and ZL1 models. It enhances valvetrain stability, reduces spring surge at high RPM, and supports aggressive camshaft profiles in demanding performance builds.
