I have had two previous remotes however, I don;t remember how to program it! Can you please refresh my memory? My alarm has been disengaged because my other remote came off my key-chain and therefore, is los.t. Thank you, L. Smith

  • (1) Put the key in the ignition and make sure it can turn freely. (2)Turn the ignition quickly, 8 times, between ON and OFF (do not start the car) and end with the key in the ON position. If you did it correctly the door locks will LOCK and then UNLOCK. (3) Push either the LOCK or UNLOCK button on the remote ( I would recommend pressing LOCK, so the doors would lock if you did it correctly). Turn the key to the OFF position and click the TRUNK button. If it opens, programming is complete.

I have a 05 V6 mustang and I've had it for some time now but it never came with the keyless entry remote. So I've always wondered if this would work if I bought one for my car? so I don't have to be using a ket to get in.

  • Hey Drew, As long as you have power locks and doors this key fob should sync to your car

Will this work the same if my current remote only has 3 buttons (unlock/lock and boot)?

nos

  • This will work the same as your 3 button remote. The panic feature will not activate however.

I bought my 01 mustang v6 used, and it wasn't sold with a keyless remote. How do I know if mine has a keyless system already installed in it?

Daniel

  • As long as your car is not equipped with the Remote Start feature, this keyless remote should work perfectly fine with your car.

    Keyless Entry Remote

I ordered two, since the one that came with the car did not work. I was given instructions to program them and they. worked great.

A key to solve all my problems

I was so happy to receive the keyless entry remote. This saves me so much time from having to get my key and carefully place it in the key hole. It was super easy to install and well worth it.

Keyless entry's for less than half than the dealer.

Ordered two keyless remotes to replace my worn out ones. Worked great. The process for syncing them up requires you to press the appropriate buttons in QUICK succession.

    Terrible! Save your money!

I had bought this here because I was tired of the ones I had purchased at amazon because they would only last about 3 months before they would just stop working. (Yes i changed the battery and it wasn't that) So i thought I would spend a little more on this website because I thought their products were good, BUT THIS REMOTE LASTED ONLY A MONTH before it completely stopped working. The cheap ones at amazon last 3X more than the ones on americanmuscle

    Would buy again

It was delivered the first day of the expected range. Programming was quick and easy, but every so often I will go to open the door and it is still locked or the passenger side will be locked after pressing the button several times within a few yards of the car. Perhaps this is any issue with the car though.

    Easy to program!

The remote is easy to program! All you have to do is put the key in the ignition and turn the key to run 8 times without turning the engine on! It is very easy to do and when the fob is programmed, the locks will click and "Boom!" It's done! Thanks American Muscle!

    30 Second Install!!!

I would highly recommend this product. The instructions were clear and concise. It only took me 30 seconds to read and program the new remote. I will be getting a back up remote for sure.

    Just what you need

This remote looks and works great. It took me a few tries to program it, you need to turn the key wicked fast to do the programing. I'll be buying another for my spare set.

    Cost-Saving Option!

When I priced a replacement key for my 2014 Mustang convertible, I was floored. Over $200.00 for a key?? The key itself has a chip plus the remote section doesn't come cheap. In ended up finding a lock smith that was reasonable in selling me the chipped key, complete with programing, for $70.00 and I bought this remote from American Muscle for another $35 on sale. I was pleased to learn that you only need one original remote to program this remote. Some other brands required two remotes and since I have just one from buying my car 2nd hand, I thought I was stuck. I literally programmed this remote in less than 20-seconds. It's a great backup and functions as good as the original!

Works great, range is a little short

Works great, just like it should. Didnt come with instructions, but its easy to program by holding the remote and turning your key from the off to acc/on position, 8 times as fast as possible, till the doors all lock and unlock. Unfortunately, the range is a little short, like 20-30 feet, won't work across the parking lot. But otherwise it's a great replacement remote
