    Improves Handling. Improve the ride and handling of your Mustang with Lakewood's 70/30 Front Strut. Lakewood combined the latest technology with their years of drag racing experience to produce a front strut that greatly improves ride quality on the street and the strip.

    Street & Strip. The LakeWood 70/30 front struts are designed to work like their shock absorbers. They out perform the OE struts that came stock from Ford and are great for use on the drag strip or on the street for everyday driving.

    Application. Designed to fit the 1994 to 2004 GT and SVT Cobra Mustangs the Lakewood 70/30 Front Struts are sold individually.

        What do you guys recommend these or koni str.t struts? I run eibach lowering springs and koni str.t shocks. It’s a daily driver, I don’t really race it. Looking for the smoothest ride

        • We would not be able to properly recommend the Lakewood 70/30 Front Street/Strip Strut versus another unit without knowing a little more information. It will ultimately depend on how the vehicle is used, what you are looking to achieve and preference.

        I have heard that people have issues using a coilover setup with the front lakewoods. Would I be able to use the front coilover setup from UPR with these?

        • The Lakewood 70/30 Front Street and Strip Strut is designed for use with standard spring locations. If a coil over kit is designed to be used with these struts, you should not have an issue, however we do recommend looking over the instructions for your coil overs as typically there are modifications that must be done to the struts for the kit to work properly.

        What rear shocks should I pair these with for best results ?

        • You want to stick with the same brand with shocks and struts. We just don't happy to carry rear Lakewood shocks in this case however, so it would be best to contact Lakewood directly to get what you need.

        what cc plates should i use with these?

        • There are no specific Castor Camber Plates that should be used with the Lakewood 70/30 Front Street/Strip Strut. But I would recommend the Maximum Motorsports Caster Camber Plates Item #47000(http://www.americanmuscle.com/maximum-motorsports-caster-camber-plates-94-04.html).

            Awesome struts

            Awesome struts. Would have been 5 stars except when I received the struts there was already rust on the bottom of them where powder coating was missing.

            Installing new struts

            I finally broke down and purchased new front struts for my '04' terminater. They installed as easily as a pair of shocks. They fit perfectly and the ride is noticeably better. Both as far as jounce and rebound control go. I would recommend these to anyone looking to upgrade the ride quality while taking out some of the harshness.

            Awesome struts

            Lakewood struts are one of the only struts I'll use. Made good and fit perfect. Helped my 60ft a lot. I recommend these struts.

            Better than stock!!!!

            i got the struts after my first time at the track with my new edge. my first time i went my best time was a 14.3 97mph(only mod is a catback bama tune and cai) after install 14.19 at 97mph. Not the biggist gain but they did help.

            Awesome!

            Great struts! In addition to the H&R SS Springs my ride quality is MUCH better especially on launch! Easy install even for a first timer, took less than an hour using a MAP Gas torch to loosen the lower bolts.
