Heavy Duty. The factory Universal Joint (a.k.a. U-Joint) is fine for a everyday commuter car, but if you are making serious horsepower it can be the weak link in your Pony's drive train just waiting to break leaving you at the side of the road. So replace it with a Heavy Duty Lakewood unit and put more power to the rear wheels.

Durable Construction. Lakewood created this U-Joint to last using ultra-durable chrome-nickel-moly alloy cross and caps, and special high-carbon steel and induction heat-treated needle bearings.

Application. This 1330 style Lakewood Performance Universal Joint is designed to fit the 1987 to 1995 5.0L Mustang with manual transmission as well as the automatic and manual 1996 to 2004 V6 and V8 Mustangs.

Don’t overlook this part if you have high miles

I have 125,000 miles on my mustang. I drove my car for a year thinking that Mustangs had Poor ride quality. I’m very pleased with how much tighter my drivetrain feels.

      Decent U-joint

Lakewood U-joints seems to be much sturdier that the stock ones. Install is the same. I am very happy so far.

      Doesn't fit FRPP Aluminum Driveshaft

The part itself was everything described, but I wasn't sure if it would fit my FRPP Aluminum Driveshaft, and it turned out to be way too small. Just a heads up! That driveshaft uses 1350 style u-joints. My Cobra has a SRA swap. AM was extremely helpful in returning the U-Joint.

      perfect replacement/upgrade

So after 19 years i felt (literally) it was time to changer these out . There almost a direct replica of the oem u-joint. So if there anything like the factory ones they are well worth the money. Changing these out are really simple. You can do it in an hour or so on your gauge floor.

Did exactly what I wanted them to do.

My car was beginning to shake badly due to the worn out stock U-joints. Once I ordered the new ones from here (which arrived to my doorstep in 2 days), I brought them to a local shop and had them installed. It felt like a whole new car driving with these installed, there was no shake and it seemed to accelerate more smoothly.

      No More Nasty Vibrations!

Man am i glad i bought these! Had a horrible shake and squeak in all gears that made the car really unpleasant to drive. Thought i needed a new driveshaft, clutch, flywheel anything i could think of. Definitely start with u joints. Changed them out in about an hour and a half by myself without a lift. Old ones were 17 years old and really busted. Feels like a new car!

not sure how to give a review for u-joints. but i will say the vibrations have stopped, and it only cost $63 to install. would have done it myself but i just moved. VERY fast delivery, and they are from AM, so you know you are getting quality
