Review & Install Video
Hey, what's going on, guys? Adam here with AmericanMuscle.com. Today, I'm bringing you a detailed review of the MMD Carbon Fiber Tail Light Bezel, fitting all 2015 and newer Mustangs. So in this video, of course, I'll be talking about construction, given that they are carbon fiber. I'll also talk on styling and even the install, which I'll tell you upfront will get a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, making it something anybody can do with a little bit of time in the driveway at home. So let's jump right into it.So the MMD Carbon Fiber Tail Light Bezels are going to be for the 2015 and newer Mustang owner out there looking to give the rear end profile of their Mustang a completely new aggressive look that you would expect out of some real carbon fiber parts like these ones. Now, as I'm sure you know, MMD, or Modern Muscle Design, is really one of the industry leaders in exterior styling parts, and of course, carbon fiber is one of the most desired exterior styling pieces on the market. So mushing them together is really a no-brainer for some extremely awesome pieces. So the MMD Carbon Fiber Tail Light Bezels I have here today are really one of the best accents, in my opinion, for the already iconic tail lights that the Mustang has for the new S550s. These are really an aggressive piece that'll really turn heads, great for you guys out there doing some car shows or even some daily driving. These tail light bezels are manufactured out of real, hand-laid carbon fiber with a gloss finish. Obviously, you can see they have a really, really attractive finish with the lights shining off of them. Now, they are UV-treated, so they will last in prolonged sun exposure, great for the car show guys and the daily drivers. And they're also extremely lightweight and durable, exactly what you would expect out of carbon fiber materials. Now, I will say that these are very thin materials, but I will say that they do not take away from the durability you'd expect out of this material. So carbon fiber will definitely not be for everybody when it comes to an exterior styling piece. But for some people, it is a desired part, and in my opinion, I do think it looks very aggressive when it is a real carbon fiber and not a vinyl, which is definitely the case here.So price-wise, for this carbon fiber tail light bezel kit, you want to expect to be spending just about $350, which, in my opinion, is a little bit steep, but it is to be expected when you're shopping for real carbon fiber appearance parts. Now, this one, like I said, gives you a lot of bang for your buck. There is extreme durability with true carbon fiber pieces like this, so you do expect the prices to be fairly high when it comes to that. Now, installation, like I touched on a little bit earlier, is going to be extremely straightforward, something anybody can do in a little bit of time in the driveway at home. Expect to get this done in about 15 minutes tops, you won't even need any tools, and you won't need to jack the car up at all. Now, one thing I will recommend is to actually clean the area in between and around your tail lights before you apply the bezels with some alcohol wipes. This way, you can make sure you're freeing it of all dirt and dust to make sure the 3M tape gets a really good bond with the vehicle. Now, once you get that area clean, you can take the 3M tape from the kit that's provided, apply it to the back of the bezel and apply it to your vehicle, repeating the process for the opposite side. Now, once this is done, you're looking at a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, like I said, something anybody can do with about 15 minutes in the driveway at home.So just to wrap things up, guys, if you're the owner of a 2015 or newer Mustang and you're looking for the real carbon fiber appearance for the rear end of your Mustang and you're a fan of that, you might wanna check out the Carbon Fiber Tail Light Bezels from MMD, which are available right here at AmericanMuscle.com.
