    Review & Install Video

Hey, guys. Stephanie with americanmuscle.com here with a review and install of the MMD Chin Spoiler Winglets for 2015 and newer S550 GT, V6, and EcoBoost Mustangs. In this video, we're gonna go over a few different topics when it comes to these winglets. We're gonna talk about the styling, the materials and construction, and the install, as well. We'll talk more about the install later, but I can tell you right now that the install for these is easy. It's a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, but there is some drilling involved. The MMD Chin Spoiler Winglets are gonna be a good option for those S550 owners out there that are looking to add just a little something to the front end of their Mustang without having to purchase an entirely new chin spoiler. These can also be added to help tie together some other exterior mods, or they can stand on their own. Either way, these offer you a fast and simple way to give your Mustang a change in appearance without having to purchase a whole new chin spoiler, and they're gonna be a lot less expensive in that case, as well. These chin spoilers winglets are just added to your factory chin spoiler. They install with push pins and they wrap up and around the factory chin spoiler at the very ends, right before the front wheels and tires. MMD designed them to change the looks of your car in a very simple, very easy, and also reversible way. That's the beauty of these, in my opinion. They're so simple, but they do make a difference in looks, and you don't have to spend an arm and a leg or go with a completely aftermarket chin spoiler. When it comes to materials, these are made from ABS plastic, which is commonly used for exterior styling because it's lightweight, strong, and durable. Those are all good qualities for an item that's gonna be living on the lower front end of your car. They do have a matte black finish, as well, which looks very much OEM-like, so, they're gonna match and blend in with your factory chin spoiler and not look out of place. These are gonna come with everything you need to get them installed. Like I said, a big plus here is that they're very easy to install. They install just with the supplied push pins, four in each side. One thing that I did wanna mention, though, is that these are designed to fit the S550 GT, V6, and EcoBoost models. They won't fit the GT350. As far as price, you can expect to pay between $50 and $100 for these. Now, if you compare that to your other chin spoiler and chin splitter options, there's nothing that comes close to this price. MMD is giving you a price here for the budget-minded people, but still giving you a way to change the looks of your car, which I think is a great thing. When it comes to the install, it's not a difficult one at all, and it's gonna be a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. There is a little bit more to the install than just sticking these on and going, so, you can expect to spend a half hour, tops, getting these on your car. You will need some basic hand tools because you're looking at needing to drill the factory chin spoiler for the push pin retainers, and you're also going to need a jack and stand to get the car in the air. Once you have the front end raised up, you can get to the sides of the chin spoiler where these will mount. I'd test-fit your winglets before actually installing, but once that's done, you can drill your holes for the push pins, line up the winglet, and officially install it. Wrapping things up here with the MMD Chin Spoiler Winglets. These offer you a fast and subtle way to change the appearance of the front end of your Mustang. They're very easy to install and you can check them out more online, right here at americanmuscle.com.

Matches the Chin Spoiler. You can't only install a Front Chin Spoiler by itself, you'll need to add the MMD Chin Spoiler Winglets to match it for better aesthetics and improved performance. They'll enhance the Mustang's features with the bold matte black finish. These are the perfect complementary parts for your Mustang's front end. In conjunction with MMD, the Winglets have the same quality and look.

Durable Construction. Crafted out of durable and resilient ABS plastic, the MMD Front Chin Spoiler Winglets feature a matte black finish to complement the factory chin spoiler and other exterior panels perfectly. Give the front end of your S550 Mustang a new aggressive attitude with this high quality modification.

Direct Fit Installation. The Modern Muscle Design Chin Spoiler Winglets comes complete with the necessary push pins for installation and installs directly underneath the factory chin spoiler. Some drilling will be required to complete this upgrade.

Application. The MMD Front Chin Spoiler Winglets are specifically designed for any 2015 to 2017 GT, EcoBoost or V6 Mustang. It is not compatible on the Shelby GT350s.

Technical Note. The Chin Spoiler Winglets is not compatible on vehicles equipped with the GT/CS (California Special) Chin Spoiler.

Will these fit if an apr splitter is installed?

    FrankC

    • We have not test fit the MMD Chin Spoiler Winglets with an APR Front Wind Splitter, however, if the rear and front mounts are on adjustable turnbuckles, you should be able to lower the splitter the accommodate these winglets.

To your knowledge, would these winglets fit on any other front chin spoiler on the market other than what is already specified on product page? I specifically would like to know if they would fit with a MMD GT350 style front chin spoiler? I'm also going to add the RTR side rocker splitters and want to know the same thing "if MMD or Roush (which I prefer) would fit with that RTR side rocker splitter? Thank you and looking forward to your answer!

    • As long as you have a 2015 to 2017 GT, EcoBoost or V6 Mustang and it is not a GT/CS chin spoiler then you can use it!

Hi Is it possible to install without drilling, just 3M automotive tape? It's for a Mustang GT 2016 performance package. Thanks in advance.

Awesome subtle addition to front end

The MMD chin spoiler winglets are an awesome addition to the front end, for a cheap price. I paired these with the mmd front chin spoiler that mounts up with the stock performance pack spoiler, which made a great combination. Quality is solid, matches up perfect with stock ABS parts. Installation is very easy as well. I added 3M double sided tape along with the push clips just to have extra support. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a cheap mod, that adds a really nice touch.

      Awesome!

Easy to install, but suggest using a rivet close to the underside front of winglet to bring it in nice and tight. I have the performance pack and didn't realize the front lip splitter is different from the standard GT 5.0 without P.P. splitter. Winglet looks perfect with the way the P.P. splitter sides are are squared outward, but I don't think you can get the same contoured look with the standard/non P.P. splitter. If you DO NOT have the Performance Pack splitter, I would suggest getting one before you buy/install these...it just will not give you the look that it is designed to be there...it will look like an add on ---just my thoughts.
