Hey, guys. Adam here with americanmuscle.com. Today, I'm bringing you a quick overview and installation of the MMD Tail Light Trim in a matte black finish available for all 2015 and newer Mustangs, excluding the 50th anniversary edition models. So in this video, of course, we'll be going over the styling and appearance you can expect when adding this tail light trim from MMD. I'll even touch on the materials and construction. I'll top the video off with the install, which I'll let you know upfront, gets a very easy, one out of three wrenches on our difficulty meter, simply because this will install using 3M automotive bonding tape. The MMD Tail Light Trim you see here will be for any 2015 or newer Mustang owner who's looking to add a little bit more detail to the rear end of their S550, more specifically, those tri-bar iconic tail lights. And in this case, you're adding a tail light trim that comes in a sleek matte black finish. So I'm sure, most of us can agree that the S550 tail lights is probably one of the most aggressive takes on that tri-bar design, dating all the way back the mid-'60s.Now with that said, some people out there who own the S550 might think that it could use a little bit more detail, just to spice up that appearance. If that's the case, you might be looking into any trim or bezels in the aftermarket world, just to surround that 3D design a little bit more. Now, in this case, in my personal opinion, the matte black finish that MMD has on this particular tail light trim would actually top off that rear-end and give it that little bit of detail that it kind of needs just to make it pop a little bit more.As far as the materials and construction goes, this is pretty straightforward, especially when it comes to these aftermarket trims. You can expect a high quality ABS plastic, something extremely lightweight, extremely durable, something that is somewhat flexible but can take a beating. It's also UV protected, so it's great for the guys out there attending a lot of car shows, using this as a daily driver, something that's parked on the street a lot, is exposed to a lot of sunlight. This thing isn't gonna fade, it's not gonna crack over time. And, you know, MMD is actually pretty known for making quality parts like this for your exterior, so I'm not surprised with this particular construction here.As far as the price goes, if you're interested in picking up the tail light trim from MMD you see here, you can expect to be spending about 150 bucks. Now, in my personal opinion, after holding this, I don't think it's a very bad price at all, especially for the guys out there attending a lot of shows, or even if you're trying to complete an all-out blackout look for your exterior. Now, if you're to get the black paint, the black interior, the black wheels, all you need to do is top off that rear-end to give the tail lights a little bit more black since obviously, they're coming in a red color. Now with that said, 150 bucks and it's yours. My personal opinion, not a bad price at all. And I think with the matte black look, it really adds the detail that the rear-end needs. Now, I'm gonna shift gears over to the install portion of the video. If you're interested in getting this installed on your S550, I want you to know, it installs extremely easily with 3M automotive bonding tape that is provided for you in the kit. Now, 3M automotive bonding tape is a very, very solid adhesive bonding here, so this is something that isn't gonna fall off over time. It'll stay on as long as you want it to, and it's easily removable if you wanna take it off.Now with that said, you're not gonna need any hand tools, any special hand tools at that. The only thing you'll need are the alcohol wipes provided in the kit, just to clean off the area to get a good bonding. Now with that said, you'll be using the alcohol wipes to clean off your factory tail lights, of course, the area all around the tail lights that you'll be applying this to. Once you have that taken care of, you'll use the 3M automotive bonding roll that's included in the kit, you'll cut off little strips, and you'll see on the back here, there are separate spaces here, just to show you exactly where the 3M tape will go. Once you have that stuck in the back of the trim, peel off the backing on that tape, and stick it right into place. Repeat that process for the opposite side, and you're good to go. Overall, I'll say, about 15 to 20 minutes on the install, and a one out of three wrenches on our difficulty meter. Now, just to wrap up this overview and install, guys, if you're the owner of a 2015 or newer S550 Mustang, excluding the 50th anniversary edition, you might be looking to get a little bit more detail for your rear-end of your S550, including those tail lights. So if you are, you might wanna check out the MMD Tail Light Trim in the matte black finish, which of course is available right here at americanmuscle.com.

MMD Rear Valence Diffuser
The MMD Rear diffuser pulled together the look for my 2014 V6 Mustang. I believe that a diffuser should have come from the factory such as the 2010-2012 models. The installation took about an hour with 3M adhesive provided in the shipped package. I would recommend more 3M tape than provided but overall I love the product!Helpful (0)

MMD Rear Valance
While I love the look of the valance, it was a bit of a pain to get installed and as of this review I will be removing the part to attempt a RE-INSTALL...because the double sided tape and adhesion promoter didn't do the job. I'm just a bit disappointed, now I have to figure out a way to get the valance to mount up and stay in place using super glue or some other product, the double sided tape does not cut it.Helpful (0)

Nice piece but..
Overall I am happy with the diffuser. Install is straight forward and you only have to drill two holes. No cutting required like some other diffusers. The thing I don’t like is the “support brackets” that are stuck to the diffuser with double sided tape and then also stuck to the car with tape. It was kind of a pain to align the brackets to where no tape will be visible from the back. It pushes the diffuser away from the bumper in a weird way. Seems this could be designed different but it’s something most people will never notice. I’m happy with the purchase and easy install.Helpful (0)

MMD Foose Rear Valance Diffuser
Looks great, easy on but as others have stated left side hard to get stuck right, had to re-apply after the first attempt and added a little extra 3m tape to make it work.Helpful (0)

Looks good but...
Looks good but those support tabs you have to stick on don’t make any sense. It causes the left and right sides above the tips to hang down just enough there’s a small gap where you can see tape. I’m not sure why they didn’t just have this as part of the mold for $200. Just glad it’s not too noticeable.Helpful (1)

Looks amazing, clumsy installation
The tabbed parts of the valance need to go away. Why the tabs are not molded as part of the valence makes no sense. The instructions were also extremely vague about where the tabs needed to be installed and even which side was which. I spent more time trying to figure all of this out than actually installing it. Have a friend help, as alignment is critical to getting the appearance just right. In the end, the push pins work well to get the valance located and properly installed, the center and RH adhesives stuck firmly, but the LH side over the exhaust tip is loose. One other bit to mention is that this valance works best with LONG exhaust tips. Otherwise the valance will hide them...Helpful (1)
Will this rear diffuser help hide some of the Borla Catback tips which stick out a bit to much?
The MMD by FOOSE Rear Valance Diffuser will provide a slight increase in tailpipe coverage.
Hi, I have some questions about this product: - Is it needed to have any kind of complex cuts in the car Bumper or just holes? - I have the roush rounded tip exhaust in my car which are a little bit larger than the factory ones, does the product fits the same? - I saw some comments about some part of the difuser that needs to be "glued" with 3M but in some cases it came out again with the exhaust heat, is that common or is just a kind of intallation mistake? (I live in Dubai where the heat sometimes is extreme) - Do i need to take all the bumper out or just a simple car lift is enought to install the product? Thanks for your kind attention.
The MMD by FOOSE Rear Valance Diffuser (13-14 GT, V6) does not require any extra cutting or modifications in general, as long as you have the factory bumper installed, the product should retain the same bolt holes as what is already currently attached to the vehicle. The valance itself also can easily fit up to 4.5 inch tips, and even bigger if you get a little creative. As far as the 3M tape, if applied correctly, it will be almost as strong as concrete. However, considering the method of installation involves heating up the glue of the tape to make it malleable, it wouldn't be a bad idea to think of another modification or two, to compensate for the considerable heat of Dubai, just to make sure the valance stays snugly attached. Lastly, while installation may be a little easier with a lift or a jack, it is by no means necessary; you would have zero problems keeping those back wheels on the ground during installation. On top of this, the bumper most certainly can stay attached.
I own a gt 2014 and i put the Roush round tip axle back ,will this mmd by foose rear valance still fit my gt ? Thank you
The MMD by FOOSE Rear Valance Diffuser (13-14 GT, V6) will still fit with the Roush round tips installed.
What is actual color of Foose Rear Valance Diffuser? My 2014 is black. Will it match? Thanks
would trimming be required if I were to install a splitter
This has not been tested for fitment with and splitters and trimming and modifications may be needed.
The valance itself also can easily fit up to 4.5 inch tips, and even bigger if you get a little creative.
Shipped weight is 7 lbs. Dimensions are as follows: 61" L x 13.25" W x 6.25" H.
This diffuser will work with your car.
This will not work if you already have the GT500 valance on it.
This will not fit with the GT500 style rear bumpers.
Unfortunately, we would not be able to confirm fitment for the MMD Diffuser and your receiver hitch.
This MMD Valence will not accommodate a 5in exhaust tip they way it is manufacture in production. The max size we would recommend for proper fitment would a 4in exhaust tip. We have had customers make a 5in tip work on this valence but will be at the installers discretion.
The MMD by FOOSE Rear Valance Diffuser should not touch the exhaust tips. This can cause the valance to get heat marks or melt.
Yes, The MMD by FOOSE Rear Valance Diffuser has a big enough opening to clear the Pypes Bomb 3in. Exhaust.
The MMD by FOOSE Rear Valance Diffuser should fit along with the Roush Rear Side Splitters without issue. If you take a look at some of our Customer Photos, you can see the side splitters installed in conjunction with the diffuser, which looks amazing together!
