Simple installation for anyone.
Hey, guys, Stephanie with americanmuscle.com, here with a review and install of the MMD Rocker Panel Winglets for 2015 and newer S550, GT, V6, and EcoBoost Mustangs. In this video, we're going to go over a few different topics when it comes to these winglets. We're going to talk about the styling, the materials and construction, and the install as well. I'll talk more about the install later, but I can tell you right now that the install for these is easy. It's a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, but there is some drilling involved. The MMD Rocker Panel Winglets are going to be a good option for those S550 owners out there that are looking to add just a little something to the side profile view of their Mustang. These can be added to completely stock Mustang to give a little something to the appearance of the car, or they can help tie together some other exterior mods. Either way, these offer you a fast and simple way to give your Mustang a change in appearance without having to purchase entirely new Rocker Panels or splitters, and they're going to be a lot less expensive in that case as well. These Rocker Panel Winglets are just added to your factory rocker panels. They install with push pins and they wrap up and around the factory rocker panels at the very end, right before the rear wheels and tires. MMD designed them to give you a change in looks on the side of your car, and a very simple, very easy, and also reversible way. And that's the beauty of these in my opinion. They are so simple, yet they do make difference in looks, and you don't have to spend an arm and a leg, or go with a completely after-market rocker panel or side splitter. When it comes to materials, these are made from ABS plastic, which is commonly used for exterior styling because it's lightweight, strong, and durable, and those are all good qualities for an item that's going to be living on the lower rocker panel of your car. They do have a matte black finish as well, which looks very much OEM-like. So, they are going to match and blend in with your factory rocker panels and not look out of place. These are going to come with everything you need to get them installed. Like I said, a big plus here is that they're very easy to install. They install with just the supplied push pins, three on each side. One thing that I did want to mention though, is that these are designed to fit the S550, GT, V6 and EcoBoost models. They are not going to fit the GT350.As far as price, you can expect to pay between $50 and $100 for these. Now if you compare that your other side splitter and rocker panel options, there's nothing that comes close to this price. MMD is giving you an option here for the budget minded people, but still giving you a way to change the looks of your car, which I think is a great thing. When it comes to the install, it's not a difficult one at all and it's going to be a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. There is a little bit more to the install than just sticking these on and going. So, you can expect to spend an hour tops, getting these on your car. You will need some basic hand tools, because you're looking at needing to drill the factory rocker panels for the push pin retainers, and you're also going to need a jack and jack stands to get the car in the air. Now, I'd test fit your winglets before actually installing them, but once that's done, you can drill your three holes for the push pins, line up the winglet, and officially install it. Wrapping things up here with the MMD Rocker Panel WInglets. These offer you a fast and subtle way to change the appearance of the side of your Mustang. They're very easy to install and you can check them out more online right here, at americanmuscle.com.

Makes the car look more sporty
looks very good, people cant even tell if its factory or after market. Got a few compliments in just 3 weeks. Highly recommend using jack (2.5tons or more) and stands. Use the pins provided and the screws from the part you are removing.Helpful (5)
Step 3 in installation instructions says "Remove the rocker panel trim piece by removing the fender liner clip and unscrewing the 2 T20 Torx screws." Can the rocker panel trim piece be reused? This step is not shown in the installation video. I am guessing some Mustangs do not have this rocker panel trim piece - is that correct?
Yes, the rocker panel trim piece can be reused. Also correct, not all Mustangs have this piece.
Could you flip these and swap sides to actually use up front as well? Would give a kind of GT350 feel?
The MMD Rocker Panel Winglets were not designed for and have not been tested for installation in this manner, and may require modification or may not fit at all this way.
Do they come as a pair?
This will come with both the driver side and passenger side winglets as well as the push pins for installation.
Will these fit a 2017 Mustang GT California Special? Thanks.
The MMD Rocker Panel Winglets will be compatible with the 2017 GT/CS model.
Would these work with my installed RTR splitters?
These are not able to work with the RTR splitters.
