Hey, what's going on, guys? Adam here with americanmuscle.com. Today I'm bringing you a detailed review of the unpainted version of the MMD V-Series hood scoop, fitting all 2015 and newer GT, V6, and EcoBoost Mustangs. So in this video, I'll be touching on the styling and design of the MMD V-Series hood scoop I have here today, as well as the materials and the installation, which I'll tell you up front, will require some drilling into your factory hood. Not a terribly bad job at all, but I do wanna point it out, which is why this one gets a two out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. So let's jump right into it.So the MMD V-Series hood scoop I have here today in the unpainted version will be for the 2015 or newer Mustang owner out there, whether it's a GT, V6, or EcoBoost model, who's looking to pick up one of the most desired aftermarket looks for the hood of their vehicle, while switching it up and getting one of the most muscular add-ons for the S550. This particular hood scoop is a part of the wildly popular V-Series lineup of exterior styling parts brought to us by MMD, or Modern Muscle Design, for the 2015 and up S550 Mustangs, whether it's a GT, V6, or EcoBoost, as I mentioned before. Now this one you may recognize from our absolutely insane 850-horsepower giveaway Mustang GT we're doing here at American Muscle, and as you can see, this one offers an extremely sleek muscle car appearance that almost looks it could come on the car from the factory. Now this option is definitely a bold styling for the 2015 S550 owners out there looking to completely switch up the front end look of their Mustang without breaking the bank on an entirely new hood. This way, you can make the small modifications required to properly attach this, all the while protecting your wallet. This is great for the guys out there with the 2015 and up Mustangs looking to take their car to the car shows, wanting to turn heads, and have the most aggressive front end on the lineup. Now the MMD V-Series hood scoop I have here today was manufactured using the original CAD data from Ford to ensure a perfect OEM fit for your Pony. This was also molded from an ABS plastic to ensure long-lasting lifetimes with extreme durability and a lightweight product. Now price-wise for the MMD V-Series hood scoop I have here today, expect to be spending about 350 bucks for the unpainted version, which honestly isn't too bad considering the alternative is picking up a brand-new hood. This one will get you a lotta bang for your buck with the unpainted version, but if you are interested in picking up the pre-painted version from us, already painted, ready to go out of the box on the vehicle, expect to be spending about $100 more than that, which, in my opinion, is the absolute most bang for your buck considering you will have to take it to a paint shop to get it painted, which is probably gonna be more than 100 bucks. Now switching gears over to the installation portion, like I said, again, this one will require some drilling, permanent modifications under your factory hood, but I will say it does include a drilling template to help you get the job done if you want to do it yourself. If you do want to do it yourself, you'd obviously have to have a drill and some drill bits on hand, but if you're not feeling too comfortable, it's definitely no shame to have this one handed up to the professionals to get the job done properly. Now with all of that said, if this is something you wanna tackle yourself, expect to be spending about two hours in the driveway at home. Definitely not an impossible installation, but because it does require a little bit of more work with drilling, I will be giving this one a two out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. Now before I wrap things up, guys, I do wanna point out, if you're feeling a little skeptical about the installation for this, check out some of the customer testimonials left on the product page on americanmuscle.com, with customers chiming in on their five out of five star rating across the board. They talk a little bit on the installation. You can even check out some of the customer photos to see how it looks on their ride. You might see something that looks similar to yours, just to get an idea of how this would go.Just to wrap things up, guys, if you're the owner of a 2015 or newer Mustang, whether it's a GT, V6, or EcoBoost model, and you're looking for one of the most aggressive, sleek, track-styling hood scoops on the market, you might wanna check out the MMD V-Series hood scoop in the unpainted finish or the pre-painted finish, which is always available right here at americanmuscle.com.
