Description
High Performance Gear Set. The Motive Gear 7.50-Inch Axle Ring and Pinion Gear Kit; 3.73 Gear Ratio is designed for dedicated racing and off-road vehicles, providing superior torque handling for high horsepower engines. It improves drivetrain performance and optimizes gear ratios for enhanced vehicle power delivery and control.
Construction and Appearance. Manufactured from first-run 8620 steel, these gears undergo computer-controlled heat treatment to ensure outstanding strength and durability. The ring gear measures 7.5 inches in diameter and, combined with the pinion's 11 teeth and 1.438-inch shaft diameter, offers precise and reliable gear meshing with a standard rotation finish.
Installation. Installation requires moderate mechanical skill and no drilling, as the set fits direct bolt patterns with 10 ring gear bolts and 10 cover bolts. It requires a 3.23 or higher numeric ratio carrier for proper fitment and function.
Warranty. This gear kit includes a 2-year or 100,000-mile warranty.
Application. This ring and pinion gear set is specified for use in GM 7.6” IFS applications including 2004–2013 Chevrolet Colorado, 2004–2012 GMC Canyon, 2006–2010 Hummer H3, 2009–2010 Hummer H3T, and 2003–2008 Isuzu Ascender models.
