Description
High-Performance Distributor. The MSD Billet Distributor provides reliable and precise ignition timing for Small Block Ford engines, specifically designed for use with MSD 6, 7, or 8-Series ignition systems. It ensures optimal spark delivery and timing stability across all RPMs, enhancing engine performance and durability in race or street applications.
Construction and Appearance. Crafted from a billet 6061-T6 aluminum housing, this distributor features a bronze/aluminum/nickel alloy (AMPCO 45) gear designed to protect the camshaft from damage. The advance weights are fine blanked from chromoly steel, TIG-welded for strength, and coated with QPQ for reduced friction. The distributor combines a polished, QPQ-coated steel shaft with sealed ball bearings and nylon bushings for smooth, durable operation. It includes a red and black alkyd cap and race rotor for a polished, race-ready look.
Installation. Installation is straightforward and compatible with setups requiring MSD ignition controls. No drilling or extensive modifications are typically needed, allowing for a clean and efficient swap.
