This design provides your ride with a stable point onto which you can hitch your trailer, bike rack, cargo basket, and other accessories. Additionally, this trailer hitch assembly is rated for 2,000 pounds towing weight and 200 pounds tongue weight capacity, making it suitable for a wide range of towing applications.
Heavy-Duty Build Quality. This class I trailer hitch features a main body made from high-grade carbon steel tubes integrated into thick steel plate mounting brackets. These factors work together to provide superior strength and even weight distribution. Furthermore, this trailer hitch assembly is precision-cut and machine-formed before being expertly welded, improving rigidity. Lastly, this assembly is finished in a specially formulated gloss black powder coating, providing maximum corrosion protection and rugged good looks.
Direct Install Procedure This class I trailer hitch assembly is designed to mount onto your Mustang’s frame rails using preexisting holes. Some modification to these holes in the form of widening is necessary to ensure a proper fit. You will also need to slightly lower your exhaust to gain access to these mounting locations. Other than these steps, installation is a fairly straightforward process that’s completed using just basic hand tools and the included hardware.
