      Description

      Track-Ready Axle Upgrade. The HD Axle Housing is engineered for high-performance applications on the 2005–2014 Ford Mustang, delivering strength, precision, and durability. Designed for use with Ford 9-inch axle models, this kit is ideal for drag racing, track events, street driving, and high-performance builds. It includes all necessary mounts and housing ends to ensure compatibility and optimal installation.

      Construction and Appearance. Built to last, this axle housing features a raw metal finish and is fabricated from 0.141” mild steel with a 0.282” thick face plate for added durability. The tubing is formed from 3.250” OD x 0.250” wall DOM 1026 steel, while the housing ends are forged from chromoly to handle 3.150” bearings. A vent system helps regulate internal pressure and maintain seal integrity, and fill and drain plugs provide convenient access for inspection and maintenance.

      Installation. This kit is professionally jig welded for precision and comes ready to install as a direct replacement. Note that the upper mount has been repositioned 0.400” forward and upward, which requires the use of an aftermarket adjustable upper control arm. The pinion is also offset 0.125” to the passenger side to accommodate performance tuning requirements.
