Description
Premium Axle Housing. The HD 9-inch Ford Axle Housing with mounts and housing ends is a heavy-duty replacement designed to increase rear suspension strength and reliability. It provides secure mounting for the rear axle assembly in 2005-2014 Mustangs, enhancing chassis rigidity and supporting performance upgrades. This housing is ideal for racers and enthusiasts requiring durable, properly aligned axle support.
Construction and Appearance. Built from 0.141-inch thick mild steel center housing with a 0.282-inch face plate and reinforced internal gussets, this housing delivers exceptional strength and durability. The axle tubes are precision-formed from 3.250-inch OD by 0.250-inch wall thickness DOM 1026 steel tubing to withstand high loads. The housing is jig welded with both internal and external welds to ensure perfect alignment. High-quality forged chrome moly housing ends accepting 3.150-inch bearings provide a rugged, performance-oriented finish.
Installation. Designed as a bolt-in replacement, it installs without drilling or extensive modifications. Due to the relocated upper control arm mount, an aftermarket adjustable upper control arm must be used for proper fitment and suspension geometry.
Application. This housing is engineered specifically for the 2005-2014 Mustang, considering unique suspension mounting locations and a pinion offset of 0.125 inch to the passenger side.
