  • Stay Secure in Your Seat
  • Easy Installation
  • Fits 1979-2014 Mustangs
  • Sold Individually
Stay Secure. Unlike modern seat belts, which are designed to stay loose during normal driving, the Center of Gravity Lock (CG for short) lets your OEM belt work more like the old lap seat belts of the 60's and 70's, so you can adjust how tight or loose the belt will stay across your lap to fit your driving style.

Increased Holding Power. The Center of Gravity Lock increases your Mustang's stock OEM seat belt with up to 80% of the holding power of a multi-point race harness.

Benefits. The CG Lock will keep you securely behind the wheel of your Mustang even during the most aggressive driving, allowing you to stay in complete control.

Easy Installation. The CG Lock installs simply and easily right over your existing seatbelt harness in minutes using an allen key.

Application. The Center of Gravity Lock Lap Belt will fit all Mustangs from 1979 to 2014.

          Great alternative to racing harness

I got the CG lock for Autocrossing. I noticed that I was moving around the seat when driving and I wanted something to hold me into the seat better. I looked at a 4 point harness and I found this CG lock. AM had the cheapest CG of anyone. I ordered it on Friday and it came Monday. I installed the CG lock while at the event and it took me about five minutes from opening the box till I had it ready to roll. As I was driving, I kept noticing how I was not moving around around. Someone at the autocross asked me what I thought of it and I told him that I loved it. I do not keep the CG lock on all the time, just for autocrossing.

          Does the trick

Great if you need more control in your seats without getting new seats and/or a racing harness. the lap belt will stay on you as tight as you make it.

          CG Lock

Great idea but really poor quality. The lever attached to the roller has come apart on two of them. The last one I fixed by taping the roll pin at the lever with 3-56 tap and then putting a 3-56 screw in it with lock- tight. I'm not sure if it will work but it should keep the lever from coming off which is what happend to both of mine. Saw Ryan's phote and the lock would probably work better if you put the top cover on correctly. You have it on backward and it even has a yellow circle with an arrow that points to the lever.

Works well, but occasionally requires adjustments.

This product works very well at keeping your butt in the seat of your car. I've gotten to the point that I can't really drive hard without the darn thing tighten up- it's that nice to have. However, there are a two things not to great. First, the release lever on the side is simply pressed onto the center pin; which can come loose and allow the tension spring to come off- this all makes sense when you look at it. Secondly, I still feel the tension spring should be stronger. It's stiffer than the original ones, but still requires me to check that the release lever is all the way forward, and in the locked position. Overall, this is a great product, but could use some small improvements to make it excellent.

          CG Lock

If you like to road race your mustang or corner aggressively a CG Lock it the best upgrade for the money. I did not want to replace the stock driver seat with a racing seat because I still use my car as a daily driver. After my first track day I came home with sore knees because I had to use them to keep me in my seat. The CG Lock holds me in the seat solidly so I'm able to concentrate on driving rather than hanging on.

Great concept, quality has gone way down.

I dont know what happened to these things. I know several guys who bought them when they first came out and had them for years no problem. Now they fall apart constantly. Mine had the same failure that pretty much everyone is having, the arm just fell off and the spring disappeared. The problem is the arm is just pressed onto the roll pin, with nothing to keep it there. Its an awesome concept, and when it is still in one piece, it works incredibly well. Better than you would expect. But they just dont seem to hold up any more.

          Don't Bother

When it works the product is great. I had two, both broke within one day....I am done with it! Don't let the release lever snap back more than a few times or the whole thing comes unglued. They need to redesign and push out an improved product, until then, don't waste your money.

          Could be better

Had the product for about a month before it broke. The spring for the tension release lever and the said lever just popped off one day. Have not found the spring. And just the other day, the whole assembly just came off the end of the buckle while driving.

          Great

Does give your seat belt extra security. Keeps me in the seat even in tight corners or bumps.

          Great Product

I picked this up and took a drive on highway 9 and This did exactly what it advertised. Easy to install not even 5 mins. I feel a whole lot more secure in turns not having to fight gravity. Allowing more focus on the apex.

          Track Day

Worked as promised. My seats are wide for my frame with little or no side bolsters so I rolled up a towel to fill in some more space. The CGLL Belt kept me in place as well as could be expected. Normally the outer side of my left knee is bruised from trying to keep myself in place during a track day (2 mile course). I still needed to use my knee but not nearly as much. The product is no replacement for a 5 point harness but provideded vast improvement over stock lap/shoulder straps.
