3.31 Gear Ratio. This gear ratio is ideal for preserving fuel efficiency but still providing the power and performance you’re looking for in your Mustang. Your engine’s power is translated into optimal power for the wheels with this ring and pinion.
8620 Steel. This ring gear and pinion have been built from heavy-duty 8620 steel, which provides superior wear and tear resistance over the long haul. High performance or casual cruising, this ring gear and pinion will keep you rolling for years.
Recommended Upgrade. This gear ratio will throw off your speedometer if it wasn’t your previous gear ratio, so a tune-up of your Mustang’s computer will be required. This can be done professionally or with a handheld tuner.
Installation. This is a very mechanically-advanced installation, so doing it yourself will require a car lift or jack stands, specialized tools, hand tools, and advanced mechanical expertise. Allow at least 4 hours of installation time, but professional installation is highly recommended here.
