Hi I’m Justin with AmericanMuscle.com and I have a great way to customize your emblem on the deck lid of your 2010-2012 Mustang. I’m taking a closer look at MMD’s rear emblem cover available in matte black and pre painted. This emblem cover is another unique creation from industry leader MMD, who continues to produce must have styling options specifically for your late model Mustang. And if you’d like to see more cool parts from MMD in addition to more pre painted parts, you have to subscribe to our YouTube channel. Simply click on the banner below now or click on the AM logo up in the corner at any point during this video. Love it or hate it, that rear emblem on the original Mustangs back in the 60’s was one of the original iconic styling cues. Of course on those early cars it was used as a functional gas cap, before being reintroduced on the 05 and newer cars as more of a decorative emblem. For those of you who really dig the rear emblem but wish you could tone down the chrome and dash a little bit, this is your part. MMD came up with the cover in a pre painted version along with a matte black version. The matte black version would be great for someone building their own project blackout, and works great on its own, or along with MMD’s magnetic deck lid panel, which we do happen to have installed on our 2011 GT behind me. This is one of those times I really encourage you guys to go back to the product page if you’re not there already, and take a good look at our customer submitted images. If you’re not on our site already all you have to do is simply click the link below to head back to AmericanMuscle.com. The pre painted version on the other hand is spray painted right here at AmericanMuscle.com headquarters, using the same base and clear coat urethane paint Ford uses in their factories, so obviously the paint match is going to be right on the money, and give you more of a factory type appearance. The best part is, this could not be an easier install, all you need to do is simply clean the factory emblem using the supplied alcohol prep pads, remove the protective backing on the 3M automotive tape and adhere the cover carefully to your ride. Getting all this done really should take you only a couple of minutes from start to finish. Again, if you have any questions about the product, about the install, or about the fitment, we always encourage you guys to give us a call, the number is 855-422-7439, or if you prefer you can write us an email at [email protected] So if you don’t want to totally get rid of that rear emblem on your 2010-2012 Mustang, but wish you could tone it down a little bit or customize it, then you should definitely check out MMD’s pre painted or matte black emblem cover, available right here at AmericanMuscle.com.
