      Description

      More Power. This PA Performance Alternator Upgrade Plug is needed to convert early Mustangs with a 1G Series alternator to a more powerful 3G 130 Amp alternator.

      Retains Stock Wiring And OEM Warning Lights. PA Performance incorporated a new replacement external regulator box to capture the proper circuit and retains the stock wiring harness along with their own 3-wire (3G Series) regulator plug. This kit allows you to retain the OEM warning lights and shunt type ammeter.

      Required Upgrade. All alternator power upgrades require a larger gauge (#4 or #6) wire to be run from the output of the alternator to the vehicles harness. Pa Performance recommends their 4 Gauge Premium Power Wire Kit.

      Application. This PA Performance 1G to 3G Alternator Upgrade Plug is designed for 1979 to 1985 Mustangs that are upgrading to a more powerful 3G Series 130 Amp alternator.
