      Construction and Appearance. Powered by a 3.4 horsepower motor, this starter is housed in a billet aluminum adjustable mounting block that provides durability and ensures precise fitment. The natural finish highlights the machined aluminum housing, known for strength and heat resistance under demanding engine conditions.

      Installation. Installation is straightforward with the adjustable mounting block design requiring no drilling. It is compatible with manual transmissions using a 164-tooth ring gear. However, it is recommended to measure the depth from the mounting surface to the ring gear before purchase to ensure proper fitment.

      Application. This starter is specifically designed to fit 1979-1983 5.0L Mustangs equipped with manual transmissions and a 164-tooth ring gear. It is not compatible with automatic transmissions or other ring gear configurations.
