High Performance. Keep your V6 powered Mustang running strong by replacing those old standard spark plugs with a set of high performance Pulstar PlasmaCore Spark Plugs. Featuring plasma-assisted combustion technology, Pulstar Spark Plugs produce a 5 megawatt spark that instantly and completely burns the air fuel mixture. As a result of this complete fuel burn you will see an increase in fuel efficiency, as well as an improvement in throttle response and power. As part of your Mustangs routine maintenance, it is recommended to replace your old spark plugs every 30,000 to 45,000 miles to maintain optimal driving performance.

Plasma-assisted Combustion. Pulstar PlasmaCore Spark Plugs feature a patented internal capacitor design that was developed with the help of a US Department of Energy laboratory. The internal capacitor allows the spark plug to store and compress more energy prior to its release, when compared to standard spark plugs. This stored energy is released within nanoseconds delivering a 5 megawatt pulse of peak power. This 5mw pulse discharge of energy ionizes a portion of the gaseous air-fuel mixture turning it to plasma which in turn instantly ignites the remaining air-fuel mixture in a cascading effect.

Nickel-Chromium Alloy Electrode. Most performance spark plugs feature a fine wire electrode made from a precious metal, like platinum or iridium, in order to increase spark creation consistency. However, this consistent spark energy comes with the price of reduced life expectancy. Because of the plasma-forming pulse that ignites the air fuel mixture immediately, Pulstar Spark Plugs can take advantage of a larger center electrode made from an Austenite Nickel-Chromium Alloy (Inconel) that will extend spark plug life.

Application. This set of six (6) Pulstar PlasmaCore Spark Plugs are specifically designed as a direct fit replacement for the 1994-1997 and 1999-2010 V6 Mustangs. Please note that these Pulstar Spark Plugs do not fit the 1998 V6 model.
