        1994 cobra

        Bought this for a cheap and quick fix at the time completely fried my clutch racing a ecoboost f150 was a sad loss was in 4th gear by the time I made it to 40mph with a giant smoke cloud behind me had to get it towed home couldn’t get it into gear after that I pulled my trans had my flywheel resurfaced rebuilt my trans installed the clutch was a real pain getting the trans plugged back into car because I had to lay under the car and hold the trans up with my forehead eventually at about 430am after being under the car for about 15 hours straight finally took it off ramps and put down a hefty bag on the seat because I was wearing more trans fluid than the capacity of a it started it up pedal feels the same drove good was very gentle for about 250 miles to break it in then I start doing some pulls and it wouldn’t stop slipping in 2nd drove it for another 50miles and it wasn’t getting any better so I just bought a stage 2 McLeod clutch off eBay it’s almost double the price of the king cobra clutch your better off spending the extra cash the McLeod clutch is 10 times better never slipped once only feels slightly heavier than the king cobra clutch

        Nice grip over stock clutch

        The only bad thing i got from this clutch is that my pedal is a little hard but not ridiculous . Other than that, its a great bang for your buck

        Clutch Kit

        Kit comes with everything you need which is nice. Pilot bearing, throwout bearing, and alignment tool. Think it could be packaged a little better like styrofoam between the clutch disc and pressure plate. Put a couple grooves in my pressure plate where the clutch rides on. That’s my only complaint though.

      So i see that valeo makes the friction disc and pressure plate but who makes the throwout bearing and pilot bearing?

      • The company that manufactures the throwout bearing and pilot bearing would be Stat racing.

      what is the max torque/hp this clutch will hold at the flywheel?

      • Since this is a stock replacement clutch, the horsepower and torque numbers will be around the stock specs.

      I have a 2001 gt that has the tr3650 will this be a direct fit? I know some 01 have the t45 or sum like that.

      Will this clutch work for both Windsor and Romeo engines? If not what’s the difference?

      • As fitment of the King Cobra Style Clutch Kit is based on the transmission, it will work with both Windsor and Romeo engines.

      Hello! I have a 1995 Mustang GT with a 5.0. I have replaced the headers and cats. From what I remember the car came with a 215 horsepower rating with 285ft/lbs of torque. Your page shows this clutch is rated at 300 HP. Then in the question section you say it is only good for stock HP. I am confused. I wanted something with light pedal feel and a little healthier holding power. If you could clear that up please.

      • This clutch can handle up to 350 horsepower and would work with your set up just fine.
