Review & Install Video
Hey guys, Adam here with americanmuscle.com. Today I'm bringing you a really quick overview and installation of the Reverse Light Pony Logo Decal, fitting the rear end of all 2015 and newer Mustangs. In this video, I'll be going over the styling and appearance you can expect from the Reverse Light Pony Logo Decal, as well as its materials and construction. I'll top the video off with the install which, I'll let you know up front here, gets a very simple one out of three wrenches on our difficulty meter, making this vinyl application something that you can do in minutes.
The Reverse Light Pony Logo Decal I have with me today will be for any 2015 or newer Mustang owner looking to add just a small, noticeable, subtle detail to their rear end that really lights up and really showcases the Pony pride every time you throw your car in reverse. So, like I said, there really isn't too, too much to talk about with this particular option. It's something that will easily apply to your factory reverse light, right over the lens there. Now, it's gonna black out almost every area except for this white pony cut-out. Now, this translucent cut-out is gonna emit light through it, and showcase this exact - officially licensed by Ford - Pony logo that really just showcases your Pony pride. Everything else here won't really transmit too much light. One-hundred percent of it goes right through the pony, just to make sure that that's the main attraction.
Now, this is one of those pieces that, honestly, is so, so subtle when the lights are not on, and especially when your car is not in reverse. Now, if you looked up close, you would definitely see - on your reverse light - the Pony logo. But from far away, it might not be the most noticeable. Once that car goes right in reverse, this thing will show everybody behind you that you have a Pony logo right on that reverse light, something that's very noticeable. I think it's, honestly, a pretty cool decal to add. I used to have something very similar to this on my '95 Mustang that actually just read "Mustang" instead of having the pony there.
As far as materials and construction goes, it's pretty simply just made right here, in-house, using the American Muscle Graphics Team. They actually use a 5-mil cast vinyl to make this happen, which is gonna be a little bit thicker, specifically made to use on lenses instead of body decal that's actually a little bit thinner. This particular option comes in three layers: you get a protective layer, a tint film layer, and a backing layer. All three of those poly-vinyl layers come together to make a very durable material that sticks right on your reverse light and, honestly, will not come off until you want it to, and has a very, very simple application.
As far as the cost is concerned, if you wanna pick this up for yourself, you can do so for just about 25 bucks. Honestly, not too bad of a price tag overall if you want that added detail to your exterior because sometimes it's these little things that can make such a big difference to appearance. So, this is, honestly, one of those things that you can add very simply for a pretty low cost, and make a big difference on your rear end.
As far as installation's concerned, it should only take you a couple of minutes and, like you see here on the table, you get an installation guide directly from the American Muscle Graphics Team. Huge professionals when it comes to vinyl installation. On the other side of me, you get the American Muscle Graphic Squeegee to help you get this installed without any bubbles or any wrinkles in the process because this is a wrinkle- and bubble-free material and this helps you take care of that as well. Now, when everything is said and done, you're looking at wanting to have no tools on hand except for a bottle of water and soap mixture, just to clean off the area properly. Wet the backing on this, peel it off, stick it into place and, obviously, peel off the front. Everything said and done
