Ideal For Competitive Track Use. A common problem with the Mustang especially during competitive track use is brake fade followed by diminished clutch engagement, this is because the brakes and the clutch share the same fluid circuit and reservoir. Shelby Performance Parts has solved this problem with a simple but effective solution the Iso-Clutch kit. The Iso-Clutch kit separates the two circuits allowing both the brakes and the clutch to have their own separate reservoirs independent of each other to eliminate brake fade and improve clutch engagement.

Application. This Shelby Performance Parts Iso-Clutch Remote Reservoir Kit is designed for use on all 2010-2014 Mustangs including V6, GT, BOSS and Shelby GT500 models.

  • Unfortunately, due to the design differences between the 10-14 body style mustangs with the engine changes and the overall body changes, this remote reservoir kit would not be able to be a guaranteed fit on a 2007-2009 mustang GT500.

Will the ford racing stainless clutch line work with this? Does it have the factory plug in fitting?

  • Hi, This Shelby Iso-Clutch Remote Reservoir Kit can not be used with the Ford Performance High Performance Clutch Fluid Line. The fitting on this remote reservoir kit uses a stepping effect to hold better and grasp a rubber line.

I'm less pleased with the price.

    Remote clutch reservoir

Does not fit s197 Shelby GT 500. I had to make a bracket to connect the reservoir mount to the brake master cylinder. And on the other end of the mount, use the elongated hole to the right of the one the instructions tell you to use. Not counting the time it took to make the bracket, it took about 10 minutes to install.

    Remote Reservoir

I have always hated the Idea of one shared reservoir since the day my friends Mustang lost a rear caliper snapping the hydraulic line and e-brake cable while getting off a freeway off ramp so no brakes and no clutch . So just for that peace of mind was my thinking but to my amazement the pedal feel is now more consistent on both the brake and clutch ,so yes I would recommend it

    ISO Clutch Resevoir

Simple 1/2 hour install. The mounting bracket was well engineered and fits perfectly. Makes an obvious difference in clutch feel. (Stock clutch, Ram hydraulic pedal height adjuster, braided clutch line)

    Reservoir Leaks

Got the remote reservoir installed and the fluid leaked instantly from where the reservoir joins to the base. Under first inspection the worm gear was loose and damaged. Tried to tighten the worm gear to stop the leak but continued to leak after refilling. Ended up pulling the reservoir from the base and the o-ring was cut in 2 places. Had to locate a new o-ring to get the reservoir installed.

    Shelby iso clutch

Works awsome, clutch engagement is much crisper and brake pedal feels firmer. Recommend the stainless cluth line ti get full advantage of reservoir.

    Shelby Iso Clutch Reservoir

Very nice piece. Almost looks like it came from the factory with it. Too bad Ford didn't make it a factory item.

    Should of come from factory.

This is something I had no clue I needed for a long time. However, what a difference with it installed now. Excessive braking won't interfere with clutch and vice Versa. Now each one has its own reservoir so one won't pollute the other. (Which affects performance/reliability on the fly.) my brake fluid was getting contaminated at a rapid rate, even with steel lines. Clutch feel is night and day difference after long driving. Braking is more reliable as well.

    Easy Peasy

Installation took about 30 minutes and the most dangerous part was risking dropping a nut past the headers. A very simple, very quick install that provides extra peace of mind while driving on the road or track

Iso-Clutch Remote Reservoir Kit on my 2014 Mustang GT/TrakPak

The fit and finish seemed very well and something you would expect having the Shelby name on it. When I filled it up with DOT 3 it leaked. I had to tighten the clamp holding the reservoir to the adapter.........no more leak.

The tank is white plastic not aluminum

A nice product, except that the tank on the unit I received was white plastic (like the OEM brake fluid reservoir) not welded aluminum as shown. It is for function not appearance, so the look doesn't bother me one bit. Pricey for plastic though. A must have for anyone who tracks their car or otherwise wants to reap the benefits of separating the brake and clutch hydraulic circuits. It will protect the transmission from damage that may be caused by a failure in the brake fluid circuit (including boiling brake fluid which would otherwise affect the clutch adversely).

    remote clutch resivoure

I never liked the idea of the brakes and clutch sharing the same fluid . Prior to installing a line lock on my car, I would do burnouts by applying the brake to hold it. Maybe I'm crazy, but to me that was heating up the fluid and could cause shifting issues during the the race,B then at the end of the 1/4 I hit he brakes hard again at 120+. This remote resivoure is a no brained, especially if you auto cross. Quality product as all Shelby stuff is, easy install, don't think, just do it

Actual Part Did not Match the Image on the Site

If you look at the images of the product, The portion of the bracket without the Carrol Shelby cutout, is approx. 5" to 6" in length, it needs to be this long to fit over the existing top nut that is on the Master Cylinder. On the unit I received, this piece was only 1 to 2" in length and made installation impossible. The packaging and instructions were marked with the correct part number and images, but the part itself was different. I had to return it as it did not fit on my 2010 GT 500, which, according to the information, it should have.

    over priced doesn't fit correct.

The description is of a part that fits all 2010 to 2014 Mustangs. While I made it work, the bracket is clearly not designed to fit my 2013 GT. My brake master cylinder isn't like the one shown in the photos so I ALSO had to fabricate a small extension to attach that side of the mounting bracket. After seeing that the reservoir is actually made by Wilwood the mounting bracket is made by Shelby. I felt it was over priced. I was a bit disappointed.

    Great if it would fit

I dont know if the bolts are different in a 2012 boss but the part that bolts to the master cylinder is way off. Had to make an extension out of some metal from lowes to make it fit. Called support here said they havent had this issue. Called shelby per supports request they too had no clue. Said they would call me back...never did. So while this would be great if it just bolted in without having to make something to make it fit which I would expect from a universal part not one that is designated to fit 10-14 ALL....

    Build list must

This product should be on everyone's build list. If for no other reason than safety. How will you stop your car if you have a catastrophic brake failure? Being able to downshift might be the only thing that could save your life. Having Separate systems for the clutch and brakes is a no brainier. Less brake fade and improved pedal firmness are just a bonus IMHO. Go Shelby America. Product does not come as depicted see photos.
