Description. DEVELOPMENT: The Ford Mustang’s uninterrupted run of commercial success since the 1960s has established it as an American icon, with many of its legendary variants powered by a hearty V8 engine and its current performance models still doing the same. The rumble of that V8 is as distinctly memorable as the nameplate itself and many would insist that there’s no reason to mess with something that works, and has worked for so long.

But our intention with development of the S550 Mustang GT350/GT500 was not limited to amplifying that trademark tone, nor making it unrecognizable. Installing a single-pipe midsection for our exhaust system was a unique decision to deliver more exotic flavor to the traditional American V8. Paired with our high-flow Sport Cats, the distinct V8 rumble remains, but as the revs rise so does the pitch. This makes winding out the 5.2L V8 a visceral and intoxicating experience, one that is unlike any other solution on the market.

CONSTRUCTION: Each set is assembled in house in the USA out of mandrel bent, thick wall .065″” T304L stainless steel. Back purged TIG welding ensures proper weld penetration and longevity. We fabricate these cats using thick gauge aluminum fixtures which act as a great heat sink during the welding process and prevent warping not only of our products, but the fixtures themselves to ensure perfect fitment.
