Cant stop turning off my car to start it again!
Can't be any easier to install. Initially took me 40 minutes from disassemble to asenble. The next day decided to take it a step further.
1) Cut the green wire allowing only the button to start the car.
2) Installed an aviator toggle switch to initiate activation. I placed the switch to the right of the shifter (required drilling)
3) Installed a 9 digit chrome pin pad from an old F-14 Computer Pad located in the cockpit probably not easy to find, although a skillfull auto/ computer tech could wire an old cell phone key pad. The pad is installed on a cupholder delete and the correct 4 digit pin must be entered for the button to work.
4) Installed a red LED on the left side of the console trim that indicates armed (the left piece that pulls forward after the center console is remover, drilling required).
So now you have to flip the power switch which opens the circut to the key pad, enter the 4 digit pin which opens the circuit to the button for 10 seconds. If the button is not pushed you must re-enter the pin, or if the wrong pin is entered 4 times in a row you have to wait 5 minutes to try again.
Sounds over kill I am sure but it looks awesome when you start an automatic sequence to fire up your steed. Not to mention deters other people from driving the car, including the Misses.
I should mention I am a pilot so I am going for more of a cockpit feel.
My only complaint is that my "Low Oil Pressure" screen pops up when starting the car. Hope its just a computer glitch.
