    Increases Throttle Response. All 2015-2019 Mustangs are well known for sluggish throttle response. This is because Ford uses a drive-by-wire system that controls the throttle electronically, similar to a dimmer switch. The problem with this setup is that the signal from the pedal has to first be sent the ECU, which in turn then sends the signal to the actuator motor that controls the throttle body itself. This delay is most noticeable when trying to speed up to merge with fast moving traffic or when passing a slower moving car. The SEC10 Throttle Response Controller actually boost this signal to eliminate the delay for quicker, snappier throttle response.

    Six Modes. Unlike other throttle control devices on the market today that only have (2) positions, either on or off, the SEC10 Throttle Response Controller comes with (6) preset control modes for Stock, Eco, Sport, Performance, Track, and Valet applications. This allows you to select the mode that works the best for your own personal driving style and needs.
    • Stock - Acceleration is set to factory defaults. LED is off.
    • ECO - Balances performance and fuel economy. LED is turquoise.
    • Sport - Improves engine response for better drivability and performance. LED is green.
    • Performance - Maximum performance in your day-to-day commute. LED is yellow.
    • Track - Immediate response. Intended for OFF- ROAD use only. LED is red.
    • Valet - Limits engine’s torque and power. LED is blue.


    Easy Plug & Play Installation. The SEC10 Throttle Response Controller connects directly into the stock throttle position sensor found on the drive-by-wire gas pedal using an OEM style plug and play connector with no permanent modifications required. The Throttle Response Controller is 100% reversible and will not leave residual codes on the factory PCM making it warranty friendly.

    Application. The SEC10 Throttle Response Controller is designed for use on all 2015-2019 Mustangs including the V6, EcoBoost, GT, and Shelby GT350 models.

        My mustang has a whipple supercharger and has a custom dyno tune. Will the product affect the tune in any way? Can it be used with any car that is not stock tune?

        • The SEC10 Throttle Response Controller will not affect your tune, and will not require any tuning changes. This can be used with aftermarket tunes or the stock tune.

        • A tune can accomplish the same changes as this controller, however this controller has more on-the-fly adjustments. They can be operated together.

        I have a 2017 Mustang GT Base 6 speed. will this controller void my warranty in any way?

        • The SEC10 Throttle Response Controller will not directly void your warranty, however failures determined to be caused by a tune may have the warranty denied. We recommend looking into the magnuson moss warranty act to understand your rights with a vehicle warranty, and how modifications play a role.

            I can enjoy my mustang now. I was so frustrated with the 2 second delay. Not only did this fix that, but this also made my car shift a lot smoother. definitely worth the buy.

            Works as advertized

            Pretty simple install. Can easily choose from the six settings. I could tell a slight difference with each setting. I have a manual trans so no trouble adjusting to the difference in response. The car seems to respond more smoothly when shifting because I'm not dipping nearly as much in normal driving. I leave it in performance because it's enough for street to be much more enjoyable. Nice addition for the money.

            Nice Product

            This product is worth every penny. The throttle response is improved on all settings. Plug and play, simple installation. It took me longer to secure the device in place then it did to plug it in. I love it and definitely recommend for anyone who wants to improve the throttle sensitivity.

            Race Ready!

            Had a little problem getting the electrical plug off the throttle pedal. After this, the installation was a breeze. The control button is located in the tray under the USB outlet. Can not wait to get on the Formula One track and compare to last year!

            Great Product

            After reading some reviews I decided to buy. After I got it in the mail I immediately installed it. There was a noticeable difference in every setting. I currently have it on track mode and it really makes the car feel more alive. This is a great setup for if you dont wanna tune your car yet

            You want it!!

            Never wrote a review for anything but felt I want to do this. I do have CAI and was thinking to get a tune but for 20-25RWHP $400 felt too much. I have a V6 and i am aware that I can't get substantial hp increase unless I get myself a supercharger so wanted something that can make the V6 quicker or make it snappier. This product does just that and you will feel it every time you put that heavy foot down. In sports mode it will be quicker but I like the performance and the track mode. The whole front end wakes up like a beast and albeit you do get that seat of your pants feel. Best part you can change the modes on the fly unlike a tune. Didn't think about trying eco or blah blah mode, who wants that in a mustang anyway. If you have a V6 you want it. It will make you giggle!! Easy installation even for an amateur so no complaints there and oh! you can kiss goodbye your mileage!!

            Wow!

            The app works flawlessly! The ability to fine tune controller to individual's driving tastes makes the Ford Ecoboost a totally new beast. Add the Ford Performance 70mm throttle body to truly bring out the best of all worlds!

            A Must Have

            So far this product does exactly what it says... Eliminates the ridiculous lag from the drive by wire setup. Feels like a mustang now. Install is a simple 2 minute job, connects between the gas peddle and harness with the indicator placed just about where ever you want. Plus allows me to run my Ngauge which is full time connected the OBD port, whereas many others won’t.

            It does work

            There is no setting for V6 so I had to calibrate for the turbo. it does work, works real good. but if you turn on the lock, make sure you do lock while you’re driving. App makes it easier

            Skeptic no more

            Was on the fence with this purchase but had some extra dough around the holidays to treat myself to a relatively inexpensive mod on my pony so i pulled the trigger. Sooo content with my purchase. I have a V6 with larger tb, headers, exhaust, CAI and gears. Each of those mods have increased the wow factor and this one just adds one more very nice touch. The growl i get at acceleration and downshifting turns heads. Wheels chirp leaving the gas pump now. Pulled out of a restaurant last nite after watching the game and heard a guy yell "holy $#and!" Great lil device

            Performance enhancement

            I picked up this controller because I was curious about it's performance and if it really makes a difference. I've been driving a stock 2016GT for about 3 years now and when I installed this controller in under 5 minutes, it felt like a different car. Right away on sport mode, the engine had more of a jump to it. I didn't have to lay down the gas pedal as much. Before I could tell I was doing 40mph a lot sooner than I thought. I find that the performance mode is the most responsive. It is good if you want to pair up next to someone and give them a taste of that V8 muscle. My favorite modes I believe is Sport and Eco when driving around in the city or just going on your day to day commute. The hardest part about the install was getting on your hands and knees under the dash. Other than that it seems to be a worth while investment for the car. Not a serious modification which is what I like. It can always be removed.

            It Works Well, But Not Flawless

            First, all this does is change the sensitivity and respose time of your gas pedal. There's no power gain to be had, but adjusting pedal sensitivity can result in a faster car. It installs easily. The hardest part of the installation is removing the existing plug from the pedal. So, it's pretty simple. The lightning bolt is a button you can use to access the modes. The throttle sensitivity mode names are Stock, Eco, Sport, Performance, Track, and Valet. Again, it only adjusts your gas pedal, nothing else. If you get the android app, you can customize each setting. You can also lock the controller so the lightning button cannot be used which locks out others from changing the mode. Comes in handy for when you let others drive your car, especially vallet. It does work. I have a tune. You can accomplish the same thing with a tune, but here's why this still has value. A tune takes roughly 20 minutes to flash the ecu. This device is on the fly. Let's say your driving and even though the weatherman says no rain, well it starts raining. You put your track tune on before you left, but now that's way too aggressive for the weather. You can pull over and flash your ecu, or just hit the Eco button with this controller. Your pedal is instantly lagged making it easier to maintain traction on the fly. It's especially useful in base Mustangs with no drive modes or tunes. It's still useful with tunes and Premium models though. However, there's 3 problems with this controller that made me remove a star. First problem is eco makes you think you'll get better mileage. My finding is it's worse mileage no matter what setting you use. Also, the unit surges when maintaining speed. It's not drastic, but very noticeable and annoying if you're OCD about perfection. Another issue is light acceleration. The unit surges enough in Sport Shift for the Automatic A10 to jar your foot and make your car buck like you have a standard and are not releasing the clutch fully. This is a pretty big problem if you're turning. Takes a lot of getting used to. Works on turns just fine if you're in D instead of S or rolling. The benefits far outweight the cons. This isn't meant for a novice user. Much more sensitive and reactive throttle. Fully customizable and easy install.

            wow.... just.... wow

            I was skeptical, I'll admit. I thought buying this, especially after an air intake and without a proper tune yet, that the difference would be marginal. I put off getting this a while for that exact reason, and was i ever wrong. My '17 Ecoboost has always had power behind it, mostly after the air intake and using 93 fuel, but this takes it to a whole new level. Installation is about as simple as plugging in a usb drive, the only difficult part someone might have besides getting in the area is securing it neatly or hiding the control button. I secured the module to the left side to a harness there, and snaked the button through the space between the dash and the steering column, and the button itself in a small compartment under the steering wheel so i can take it out when need be, and keep it hidden when not. The app is okay, takes a few moments to load every time you boot it up, but the main use for it is changing the sensitivity of the modes. Stock modes are okay, but tweaking them seems to make everything a lot better. Going over the modes, they all provide something... usually. Stock is stock, basically the module is off. good for if you want to see the difference it makes or if someone else is driving. Sport, Performance, and Track mode are just incremental versions of one another from most mild (still a big change), to most drastic. Valet you can use if you use valet, but i don't care to let people drive my car and prefer walking myself. And lastly, Eco mode.... this is the problem child, at least for me. It works how it's supposed to, which is nice if you're looking for economy.... but let's face it. If you own a mustang, you're not concerned with economy. It makes the car feel sluggish and not fun to drive, but it would increase fuel economy. I just think fast is a lot more fun. Overall, i HIGHLY recommend this product no matter what you have. Ecoboost, coyote, shelby, doesn't matter. Haven't tested it with anything but an ecoboost, but i'd suspect that it is the most valuable to them anyway because of the limitations in acceleration and not being able to supercharge it.

            Best mod for FBW systems at 225 a must have,

            With the APP you can agustin all 5 setting or just switch from eco to Performance or to Race or anything. No need for the extra mount for the button, SEC 10 is the App Modes ::::: Stock, Eco, Sport, Performance, Track and Valet Modes I drive in Performance mode, it's not to jumpy and not to responsive and it's just right for me, You might like it a different way and with this you can try each mode and see what you like. Instal was not hard ,but not super easy either, the hardest part is getting the wire to the battery. But well worth it after you ride in track mode and it's super jumpy , and Performance feels right for me but in the rain I drive in eco mode for extra safety. Easy to switch over at will.
