Pony Emblems What are the Marker tabs on the back for. How would you install this emblem with them. I do not want to put holes in my fender. I am new at this.

    Wildmarva

    • If you don't want to put holes in your fender, you can simple cut off the tabs on the back, sand them down flat and install the emblems using just the 3M adhesive! Hope this helps!

Is this emblem not usuable on my '04 V6 fender? It would look good as part of my modding up!

    jakeroo

    • I Think it would look great. Make sure you clean the area on the fender. File or grind down the two pins on the backside, don't put holes in your fenders.

Fender Emblems Do you offer any emblems that have 2 sided tape for instalation?

    TomG1

    • The embalms come with the tape already on them. They have the tape and the installation connectors that fit in the holes. My car did bot have the holes and I did not want to drill any holes, so I took an Xacto knife and cut them off, then just used the tape to stick them on the car. They stick very well and they are easy to install.

      Look great!

I always liked these tri-bar ponies more than the 5.0 badges. My race red 2014 GT looks great with them! It took a little over an hour to remove the 5.0 badges, wash off the residue, and replace with the new tri-bars, but I'm sure I did it the hard way.

      Great looking emblem!

These fender emblems are great looking with bright colors that really draw attention. Well constructed and easy to install. I wasn't sure if I wanted to pay that much for plastic emblems but they are well worth the price after seeing them on the fenders. They really add some pop! I highly recommend them!

      Mustang Tri-Bar Pony Fender Emblem

My 2017 white Mustang came without any emblems or embellishments. I have added new wheels, chrome door handles and attached the Tri-Bar Pony on the fenders. It has given it a great new look. I am well pleased with the results.

      Ford Tri-Bar Pony Fender Emblem

The hardest part is getting the old ones off. Took about an hour to get them off. 30 seconds to put the new ones on! They look great! They also fit the 2010 -2012 Mustangs.

      Ford Tri-Bar Pony Fender Emblem

Purchased both the left and right side emblems about 2 months ago and installed them about 2 weeks ago. I should note that I am not a mechanic or auto-body guy however the installation appeared easy enough so I decided to install them myself. They did not come with any instructions. For an amateur like myself instructions would have been helpful. None were included. Also not included were alcohol pads and the installation prep. Since my mustang did not have holes for the emblems, I had to cut off the 2 posts that were on the emblems. I did this with a utility knife but perhaps there is a faster and easier method. First I washed and dried the general area where the emblems were to be installed. I then wiped the area down with my own alcohol pads. I then carefully measured down from the panel crease and across from the wheel well, marking each location with a pencil. I then carefully removed the paper backing so as not to touch the adhesion strips with my fingers and applied the emblem to the panel. Finally, I pressed down all areas of the emblem with my fingers to make sure the adhesion strips had made full contact. The installation was easy and took about 10 minutes for each emblem. The most difficult part was removing the posts. I do not know how well the emblems will hold up long term; however for the time being they look good. I only gave 3 stars for the bang for your buck section, because of the missing instructions, alcohol pads, and adhesion prep pads. Also a more fair price for these items would be $19.99 for each, or $39.99 for the pair. I feel that they are over-priced for 2 relatively small pieces of chromed and painted plastic.

      Neat OEM look

Put these on to look like factory. Found a car on a local lot to measure the proper location. Trimmed off the locator pins because my car didn't have the holes. Placed them on and looks great.

      Awesome

These are awesome! They are a really nice size, and great quality. I was slightly skeptical about the price, $40 for each emblem is quite steep, but it's totally worth it. They are even slightly curved to fit the body of the Mustang. They DO have the pins on the back, but I removed them with pliers and sanded it down just a bit. Also, through some research, the factory placement is 3.5" from the top of the emblem to the crease of the car, and 3.5" from the top of the tail to the front of the door. Hope that helps!

After adding louvers to the windows, my silver Mustang needed just a bit of color. The fender emblem did just that. Pleased once more!

      Installation

The 1st issue we had was having to remove the tags that were on it since the vehicle had no holes drilled in it. The 2nd issue the right emblem the tail was slightly bent out which made it difficult to get it to attach without breaking it. The 3rd issue was after all the cleaning & prep both sides the 2 way tape did not hold the emblems on the vehicle, they both fell off the car after about a half hour. We had to purchase some 3m tape to them & re install. My opinion overpriced & not worth it.
