Pony Emblems What are the Marker tabs on the back for. How would you install this emblem with them. I do not want to put holes in my fender. I am new at this.

Wildmarva

  • If you don't want to put holes in your fender, you can simple cut off the tabs on the back, sand them down flat and install the emblems using just the 3M adhesive! Hope this helps!

Is this emblem not usuable on my '04 V6 fender? It would look good as part of my modding up!

jakeroo

  • I Think it would look great. Make sure you clean the area on the fender. File or grind down the two pins on the backside, don't put holes in your fenders.

Fender Emblems Do you offer any emblems that have 2 sided tape for instalation?

TomG1

  • The embalms come with the tape already on them. They have the tape and the installation connectors that fit in the holes. My car did bot have the holes and I did not want to drill any holes, so I took an Xacto knife and cut them off, then just used the tape to stick them on the car. They stick very well and they are easy to install.

Quality Ford OEM Tri-Bar Pony Emblems!

Easy to install. Take your time. Follow my instructions: 1. Remove the two pins on the back of your emblems. You don't need them. The emblems are constructed of chrome covered plastic. The pins can be easily removed with small clippers, sprue cutter, Dremel, etc. 2. The proper placement of your emblem is 3.5" down from the crease of the fender to the top of the Tri-Bar of the emblem, and 3.5" from the verticle edge of your fender to the tip of the Pony's tail. 3. Use white transfer paper (on dark colored Mustang) or black transfer paper (on light colored Mustang) to mark the location of the emblem on the fender. Double check your measurements (as in step 2). 4. Be sure to clean your fender with Isopropyl Alcohol (90%) to ensure a good bond when applying the emblem. 5. Peel the backing to expose the tape and carefully place your emblem in the pre-marked area of your fender. 6. Apply pressure for at least 30 seconds to ensure a good bond. 7. Allow 24 hours for emblem to bond and cure. Resist the urge to drive your Mustang! 8. Sit back and admire your workmanship. You're done!

    Just Right....

After adding louvers to the windows, my silver Mustang needed just a bit of color. The fender emblem did just that. Pleased once more!

    Installation

The 1st issue we had was having to remove the tags that were on it since the vehicle had no holes drilled in it. The 2nd issue the right emblem the tail was slightly bent out which made it difficult to get it to attach without breaking it. The 3rd issue was after all the cleaning & prep both sides the 2 way tape did not hold the emblems on the vehicle, they both fell off the car after about a half hour. We had to purchase some 3m tape to them & re install. My opinion overpriced & not worth it.

Badges.....We don't need no stinking badges

Several reasons that I absolutly love these badges. #1 Price...I did not have to look around and went through AM because of prior experience. The time envolved to get them here was "On Time". The Application/directions were excellent. Everything went without a problem In Close............American Muscle is the best

No problem if you don't have the fender holes

Great look and fitment. If you don't have the fenders with the holes pre drilled don't worry it's easy to take the clips off the emblem without damaging them even if you don't have a Dremel to get the back nice and smooth you can take them off carefully with some needle nose pliers

Top Quality Piece! Expensive but worth it.

I have all the bolt on 50 state legal equipment possible on my vehicle. I have debadged the GT except for the blue oval. After debadging the fenders, there are 2 holes left. Theses beautiful ponies cover them up and look great! At first glance, it looks like a six cylinder. I love the element of surprise!!!

    Classic Touch

These look Great on my wife's 2010 Convertible. She wanted that extra "Classic" touch , and these fit the bill perfectly. Easy to install. ( I trimmed off the 2 plastic tips off the back & just peeled & pressed in place, the tape is plenty strong enough to hold them on.) I would recommend these to anyone !!

Good way to customize your ride

The emblems went on in about 10 minutes and look great. I purchased two (one for each front quarter panel) and they really make my 2012 V6 look unique. I have yet to see another mustang with these cool running ponies on the side.

    Tri-Bar Pony Emblem

I was pleased with my purchase. 3.5 in. down from fender crease and 3.5 in. in from straight edge of fender was the perfect spot. I really like the look it gave my v6 for such a small addition.

Tri-Bar Pony Fender Emblem for a GT

I really like the way the Tri-Bar Pony Emblem looks on the fender of Mustangs and when I ended up with a GT vs. a V-6, I needed to make the change. Removing the GT badge was a little harder than I thought, but I took my time and didn't damage the fenders or the GT badges. I used an automotive adhesive and tar remover for new cars called Acrysol by Kent. It loosened the adhesive and took the stick out of it, but I still needed to gently rub with a small plastic scraper and soft cloth to get all the adhesive. I had seen other products suggestied, but I really was concerned about damaging the clear coat finish and I knew Acrysol was safe. I did apply some heat with a hair dryer and used 6# fishing line to cut the GT badges loose. Unfortunately, I still had a lot of adheasive to remove from the fender. The second badge came off easier because I modifed my techique after learning from the first one. Applying the new badge was simple and they look great. These badges are quite pricey, but I couldn't find a better deal then American Muscle!

    Mustang Tri-Bar Pony Fender Emblem

My 2017 white Mustang came without any emblems or embellishments. I have added new wheels, chrome door handles and attached the Tri-Bar Pony on the fenders. It has given it a great new look. I am well pleased with the results.
