      Description

      Chassis Reinforcement Solution. The UMI Performance Lower Control Arm Torque Box Reinforcements are designed to strengthen the front lower control arm mounting areas on Mustangs. They address common issues with cracked torque boxes by providing additional support, particularly when using aftermarket control arms, polyurethane bushings, or lift bars. This reinforcement enhances chassis rigidity and durability for high-performance or street-driven applications.

      Construction and Appearance. Manufactured from 3/16" mild steel, these reinforcements are precision laser cut and feature high-quality welds for structural integrity. Supplied in bare metal, the components are ready for welding and require painting or coating after installation to protect against corrosion.

      Installation. The installation requires moderate mechanical skill and includes drilling for proper fitment. The process can be completed in approximately 2 to 2½ hours, utilizing the included hardware and detailed instructions.

      Application. Specifically designed to fit 1979 through 1993 Ford Mustang models, these reinforcements directly address the known weaknesses in torque box areas for this generation of Mustang. No fitment for other models or years is indicated.
