Today we're gonna be looking at and installing the Stage 2 Interior LED Lightning Kit for 2015 and newer Mustangs. This kit will upgrade your vanity lights, your map lights, your glove box lights, and even your trunk light to cool white LEDs that are more powerful and give a more uniform light distribution than your factory bulbs. The kit cost about $52 and it's very easy to install. I'll call it a one out of three wrenches in the difficulty meter and I'll show you how to get this on your car now. So, we're gonna start the install with the vanity lights which are actually on the other side of the sun visor. So, I'll pull the sun visor down, flip up our cover here. I'm actually gonna use this little pick tool. If you guys don't have one of these, you can use a small flat-head screwdriver. It will just need to be thin. So, what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna use the little pick, wedge it underneath of our light cover here and the bulb is gonna be right on the other side. These bulbs are really small, so I'm gonna use just a pair of pliers to gently pull the light bulb out and hold it for me because there's no way that I'll be able to get my little fingers in there, so you guys will probably need to do the same thing. So, we're just gonna use our pliers, I'm gonna gently pull the bulb out of the socket. So, your vanity bulbs are gonna be your smaller bulbs in the set. You can see you have your larger bulbs and you have your smaller bulbs. We'll have four vanity bulbs, two for each side, two for each sun visor. So, now, all I'm gonna do is slide this onto place and this is something that I can do by hand. If you can't, you can use your pliers. Slide into place and click it in. So, now, we're just gonna clip our lens cover back into place. Real quick before I install the other side, I wanna show you guys just a quick comparison, because this kit is much stronger and delivers a different kind of light than the factory lightning. So, it's more of a cool white light instead of a yellowish light. It's also a more even light distribution. And I'll say right now that this is the Stage 2 kit which means it's the more powerful of the two kits. You have a Stage 1 option and a Stage 2 option. The Stage 2 option delivers 92 lumens. The Stage 1 option is 55 lumens and your stock bulbs are 32 lumens. So, going from 32 lumens to 92 lumens, it's gonna be a big difference. So, real quick just so you guys can see the difference. You have a cool white light with the Stage 2 kit versus yellowish, orange light from your stock bulbs. So, this give a more uniform light distribution. They're also a lot brighter. Doing a quick compare, it might be hard to tell because these are small bulbs. It will be easier to tell from the map lighting, but I can still say the same thing here. Your Stage 2 kit delivers 92 lumens, your stock bulbs deliver 32 lumens. So, these are much brighter than your stock bulbs. So, it gonna be the same thing for the other side. We're gonna use our pick. You're gonna get under the light cover, pop it off, grab our pliers, get our bulb. We'll grab our new bulb and just slide it into place. Put our light cover back on. It's as easy as that. It's gonna be the same idea for your map lightning. So, you guys may wanna use a flat-head screwdriver for this. You can literally pull this entire housing down. You wanna gently pry it down to release those clips. And everything will drop down in one piece. From here, you can pull the light out and then you'll just be able to swap your bulb out from the socket right here. So, gonna me just pull the bulb out, grab one of my new map lights, wiggle it into place, you'll hear it snap in, and then we'll just take the bulb and snap it back into place. So, now, you're just going to line your clips back up and snap this back into place. So, I just wanted to show you guys a quick comparison because you can see the difference mostly with the map lights because they are the bigger bulbs. So, right next to each other right away you can see that the Stage 2 kit gives you a cool white light. It's a lot different than the yellow or orange kind of light that you get from your stock bulbs. So, the Stage 2 kit is also a lot more powerful than your stock bulbs. Next, we're gonna do the glove box light. So, this is in the upper left-hand corner here. It is a little bit hard to get to and it is in a tight area, so I'm just gonna use the needle-nose pliers. All right. So, my needle-nose pliers didn't work, so I'm just gonna use my hands. All right. So, now, we're gonna slide our new bulb into place. The last thing you'll do is just snap your light covers back into place. All right. So, now we are in the trunk and our trunk light is actually right here. So, I'm gonna use my pick to pull down on the light cover. Our bulb is right here. All right. So, with the housing down, we're actually going to disconnect it so we can bring it down here. It will make a little bit easier for us to get this bulb out. Actually going to use a flat-head and just push it at the base of the bulb so it will pop out. Grab my new light bulb, push it into place. We'll reconnect the housing, reconnect your housing and pop it back into place. All right guys, that gonna wrap up this review and install. Make sure you keep it right here at americanmuscle.com.
