Performance Handling. Installing a set of Vogtland Progressive Rate Sport Plus Springs will lower your 2015-2019 S550 Fastback Mustang's center of gravity, which will help reduce squat during acceleration, body roll in the corners, and excessive nose-dive under hard braking. Vogtland Sport Springs are ideal for daily driving, street, and even occasional track use.

Lowered Muscle Car Stance. Not only does a set of Vogtland Sport Plus Springs improve the handling performance of your Mustang, but they also improve its overall appearance. By lowering the ride height approximately 1.3" in the front and rear, that huge tire to fender gap is eliminated, providing your Mustang with a classic muscular stance.

Superior Construction. Vogtland Lowering Springs are made to strict standards in Germany. Using a cold coiling process these Springs are manufactured from special oil tempered, high tensile strength spring steels, including chromesilicon (CrSi) and chrome-silicon-vanadium (CrSiV) alloys. After being coiled, all springs are tempered, shot peened and preset to ensure consistent ride height and quality. In the last step of the manufacturing process the springs are phosphate and powder coated for superior long lasting corrosion resistance.

Progressive Design. Progressive springs (also known as variable rate springs) are designed to be more compliant when riding over rough and uneven surfaces like public roads. Progressive springs are engineered with a low starting spring rate that increases as the spring compresses. Variable rate compression allows for a smoother ride, while still providing good handling characteristics when pushed hard. This makes progressive rate springs a popular choice for daily street driven Mustangs.

Clears Stock and Aftermarket Wheels & Tires. These lowering springs were engineered to be compatible with your stock size wheels and tires, as well as AmericanMuscle’s pre-configured wheel and tire combo kits (specific to your generation), to assure proper clearance with no rubbing issues.

Professional Installation Recommended. Seeing that a spring compressor is required for installation of these Coil Springs, AmericanMuscle recommends professional installation. With the proper tools installation can be completed in about three hours. Please note that an alignment is highly recommended after installation.

Application. This set of four Vogtland Sport Plus Lowering Springs are specifically designed for use on 2015-2019 V6 and EcoBoost Fastback Mustang models equipped with independent rear suspension (IRS).

Technical Note. The Springs are not compatible on vehicles equipped with the MagneRide Suspension.

I have a 2016 Ford Mustang V6 with stock wheels and tires but with 1'' spacers front and rear. I want to lower my car but I'm not sure if I should go with a 1'' inch drop or a 1.3'' drop. I'm between these springs (Vogtland) and the SR springs (1'' all around). For my best situation what would be the better option. Do i need to get camber plates, camber bolts, or both? Thank you for your time?

    • With your set up we would recommend staying with the 1" lowering springs especially with the spacers on your car. You will need camber bolts when lowering your car an inch to better align the front end once the springs are installed. You can get away with the Vogtland springs but if you decide to run a bigger wheel and tire, you may come into clearance issues.

These springs have caught my eye but I'm a little worried about the 1.3" drop because I do have 1" spacers on front and back on my stock rims. I'm an aggressive driver so I want to keep functionality of the springs and the look of my spacers without having the combo damage my fenders/ tire rub on turns (or on bumpy or not roads.) dropping that 4x4 wheel gap would be nice but being first time build on a first time new car, I have quite a few reservations.

    • Unfortunately, when having wheels spacers and us not knowing your exact wheel specifications, we could not verify proper fitment on your vehicle. For most accurate fitment we would recommend you measure the clearance of your current wheel and tire set-up to your fender. We can however, verify the fitment of stock wheels and tires for up to a 2 inch drop without the use of a wheel spacer.

i have 25mm wheel sapcers in the rear with 20X10 and 20x9 in the front, i was wondering if these spring drop would cause any rubbing, problem?

    • With your current setup we would really recommend going with 1" lowering springs especially with the spacers installed on your vehicle.

What all would I need to safely install these springs onto my 2016 ecoboost?

    • The Vogtland Sport Plus Spring Kit will install into an Ecoboost Mustang with no additional components, however we do recommend replacing the shocks and struts with aftermarket units, as the stock shocks and struts typically will wear out quickly at a lowered ride height.

Would I need caster camber plates for these springs? Or will it be fine with out it

    • Although not required, we recommend the use of caster/camber plates when lowering your Mustang.

      Great Looks Great Ride

Ride quality is like stock on smooth roads at a normal pace. under hard driving and rough roads you notice the stiffness a little, but it is not bad at all. Fender gap over stock wheels and tires was around 1". I did the install by my self with basic hand tools in an afternoon. Overall a great product for the money.

      Worth It!

I was skeptical about whether these would lower the car enough but they drop it to the perfect height. Still can clear speed bumps and the car handles better.

Get Caster Plates and an alignment

It was my first time working on my suspension and the job took around four hours although someone more experienced may definitely be able to do it quicker. These Springs are obviously designed with the Ecoboost in mind to have the even 1.3" drop, although on my 3.7 it offered a staggered look with a lower drop in the front due to the heavier engine. Shocks and struts would not do you any wrong as the ride is more stiff although not unbearable. (or just do coils) An alignment is obvious, along with caster plates to assist in getting a perfect alignment. Overall very happy and impressed with the springs which give my car a beautiful lowered stance compared to the stock monster truck height. I have not felt a difference in handling besides the lower center of gravity. I would highly recommend this to anyone who does not have the money to go straight to coilovers or bags.

      Sport Plus Spring Kit

These springs have been great so far. Lowered the car exactly like I wanted it, and they ride great. Definitely stiffer than the factory springs, but not too harsh for a daily driver.

Sharper handling and better steering response

I was looking to get rid of that soft suspension that come stock from the factory and went with the vogtland spring. I am very happy with them. Took about 3 hours to install. I did use an air compressor but you can use basic hand tools. It will just be harder. I feel there better steering response and less pitch and roll on the corner after the install. Very happy with them.

      Delivering

The springs themselves are nice, they were delivered to me used though with bunch of scratchs from the wheels I'm guessing, nonetheless the springs itself are okay.

      Perfection

I purchased these springs for my 2016 V6. I was initially going to buy either the Eibach Pro Kit (1" drop) or the Sportlines (1.5" drop) but wasn't sure if the Pro kits would be enough or if the Sportlines would be too much. Then I found these, a happy medium. I have the stock 18" foundry wheels with 25mm spacers (also from AM) and have no clearance issues. Was able to reuse the stock struts and shocks as well as the bump stops. Got rid of the ugly wheel gap and the nasty tucked in look. I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for an in between drop of their S550. A friend and I installed these in a little over two hours in his driveway. Neither of us had done it before but it was still a breeze.

      very good quality springs

I have used many different springs over the past ten years and I have to say these are made well. They remind me of the old HandR springs that slammed my 96 Gt vert. Easy install if you have a lift and air tools, took about three hours and immediately dropped the car with no settling. I am very happy with these and the stance of my 16 Ecoboost Mustang.

      Couldnt be Better

Not only did thes Vogtland Springs give my 2016 the perfect stance I was looking for, it changed the whole feel of the car. It handles so much better, yet still maintains that smooth ride. In stall was pretty easy, taking about 4 hours in the drive way with a friend. Cant go wrong with these springs.

      Worth every penny!

Best drop in my opinion just in the middle. Handling is great, ride height was just sitting above the fender and definitely eliminate the bodyroll and reduced break drive. Easy to align aslong as you have the camber, bolts came in perfect but lil bit off at the rear but just .3 not too much. If your looking for a spring and you want lower than an inch you wont regret this!

      Brilliantly performing.

My wife drives the car casually and I am an aggressive driver. I didn't tell her I switched out the springs and she wanted to know why the car felt so comfortable. I noticed the great performance right away. I could tell right away with my fast turns and up and down hills. More control, more road contact, and softer over the road imperfections. Very happy. The height is perfect.
