      8-Rib Design. Manufactured to provide additional belt grip for high-horsepower applications, this Vortech Mustang 8-Rib Supercharger Drive Pulley features additional grooves for use with a wider drive belt with added surface area.

      Maximize Your Supercharger’s Efficiency. Unlike a turbocharger, superchargers are mounted to the intake side of the engine and driven by the drive belt; if any slippage in this belt occurs, the supercharger will not spin at the appropriate speed, reducing boost and peak power. With a wider drive belt with additional grooves, belt slippage disappears, and peak power increases. So to accommodate a wider belt with additional grooves, you must replace all accessory pulleys with the proper provisions such as this 8-Rib Supercharger Drive Belt.
