Hi I’m Justin with AmericanMuscle.com, and I’m taking a closer look at Whiteline’s adjustable front anti dive kit fitting all 2005-2010 Mustangs. Whiteline is a suspension company that has earned the attention of a lot of Mustang enthusiasts recently, thanks to their quality products that aim to get every bit of handling performance out of your ride. This kit from Whiteline is a great complementary mod to any performance suspension setup, as the name suggests the aim of this kit is to prevent any excessive nose diving under hard braking, and improve turning response and overall turning feel. Under hard braking, all the weight of the Mustang is transferred to the front of the car, causing those soft rubber bushings to flex, ultimately changing the geometry of the control arm, resulting in that nose dive. This kit from Whiteline replaces those soft factory bushings, with these low compliance polyurethane bushings, helping reduce some of that bushing deflection and distortion and ultimately reducing some of the weight transferring characteristics. Because of this I would not necessarily recommend this product to hardcore drag racers out there, just as this kit helps reduce some of the ill effects of weight transfer to the front of the car under hard braking, it also has the same effect to the rear of the car under hard acceleration. So with that said you might not see as much squat on hard launches, just something to keep in mind. In addition the Whiteline kit offers up to 0.75 degrees of 2 point static caster adjustment, which will really allow you to dial in those optimal suspension settings and it’s something other kits do not offer. I will say this is not necessarily the easiest install in the world here, you will need to unbolt a rack and pinion steering unit and move it slightly to get access to the lower control arm holes. The lower control arms will need to be removed completely, and with the aid of a press the new bushings can be installed. So if you’re handy with tools and you have access to a press, you should be able to get everything installed in a couple of hours. The Whiteline anti dive kit is for the Mustang enthusiast who has already taken care of all the suspension basics, and is looking to further improve the handling characteristics of your S197, be sure to check it out right here at AmericanMuscle.com
