    Improved Rotors for Superior Braking. The StopTech Slotted Rotors, Front Pair for the 2005-2010 GT Mustang are a high performance upgrade that will turn your Pony from an ordinary machine into one that brakes easily during high-speed maneuvers or in foul, wet weather, giving you an edge in control. The slots provide cleaning of the rotor surfaces and de-glazing of the pads in order to keep everything functioning correctly. The venting makes sure the rotors don’t overheat, a condition that can lead to loss of braking power or “brake fade.”

    Advanced Slotted and Vented Design. High quality cast iron blanks are the starting point for construction of the American-made StopTech Slotted Rotors. The iron is given extra amounts of carbon to augment tensile strength. Made in one piece, these rotors feature internal venting with curved vanes for better heat removal. These components also have slotted surfaces, which enhances pad bite and braking strength. E-coating on the hats, vanes, and edges eliminates the risk of rust, cutting down on the chance of lateral run-out and other problems.

    Feature-Rich Component for High Performance. The USA-made StopTech Slotted Rotors are designed with several features that make them powerful braking tools far beyond anything offered by the OE rotors. The high carbon content of the iron ensures they won’t crack when exposed to high stresses during hard performance braking. In more everyday terms, the slotted surfaces clean the surface, channeling brake dust and water off the friction area so that you get superior braking both dry and wet circumstances. The slots also clean and de-glaze the pads so they keep their full bite and potential. Brake fade is stopped cold by the venting, where curved, directional vanes pump cool air steadily through the rotor as it turns, shedding excess heat before it can build up to the kneepoint where brake function is impaired.

    Bolts On Handily. The StopTech Slotted Rotors are designed for direct-fit, bolt-on installation. You do not need to modify your Mustang’s wheels or brake components in order to install these new rotors, a process requiring around 2 hours.

    Supplied as a Pair. These StopTech Slotted Rotors are a kit that consists of (2) 12.43” slotted front rotors.

    No Manufacturer Warranty. Supplied with no warranty from the maker, StopTech Slotted Rotors are sold as-is and “with all faults.”

        Front rotors Do i have to install Both Rear and Front rotors at the same time?Or can i just install the Front ones for now?

        • You can do just the fronts and then the rears at a later time. Make sure you replace the pads at the same time too as they are bedded to the old rotors. As the fronts do the majority of the braking you should experience significantly better stopping after the front swap. When you do get around to the rears you will need a tool that you can rent from a parts store to compress the calipers as the piston needs to spin as it is compressed. Not using the tool will most likely destroy the caliper.

            Exactly what I needed

            I had two warped and scorched rotors that needed to be replaced. These have OEM fit quality and are perfect for mild street and strip. They have a good initial bite over the stock rotors.

            Stoptech rotors

            Installed these Stoptech front and rear rotors along with the Stoptech pads from A.M. and after bedding them in I could immediately feel the difference in stopping power. I went with these because Stoptech is one of the better brands and figured they would look and perform great, and they do.

            Great quality where it counts

            I decided to put a little better quality rotor up front and leave a regular slotted and drilled on the rear. Since the rotors upfront get more punishment. They're are great quality and the bite you get when you compliment them with a nice pair of pads, is very noticeable and confidence aspiring. In short terms.... They rock!

            These Are Great!

            I did not buy these from American Muscle but I plan to buy them from American Muscle when the ones I have wear out. My stock front brakes lasted for only 38,000 kilometers here in Canada, not very good at all! I purchased these front rotors and paired them with Hawk Ceramic pads for my 2006 GT in the spring of 2008. I have put almost 100,000 kilometers on them (60,000 miles) and they are still not worn out, and the rotor surface is perfectly smooth still. They are a significant improvement over the stock brakes and I would highly recommend these paired with the Hawk ceramic pads for any Mustang owner as you will not be disappointed. They are the longest lasting brakes that I have ever had on a Mustang, this being my 4th Mustang. When I need new front and rear brakes in the future I will be buying this same combination from American Muscle. It is money well spent!

            Great Product

            I paired these with a set of Hawk brakes and the stopping power and feel is great with no noise. Perfect fit and a simple install. Worth the upgrade at just a few dollars more then OEMs.

            Stop on a Dime

            These rotors are a great upgrade to any mustang. Brakes are THE most important upgrade you can do. I did these before I added any sort of power upgrades for safety purposes. Pair these up with a set of Hawk HPS pads and your good to go. Stopping distance is incredible and the brake pedal does not soften. The only complaint about these is brake dust gets stuck on all the black finish on these rotors and turns into a rusty orange color. Other than that these are superb.

            Good upgrade

            Good upgrade from stock. VERY easy to install. they just simply slip right on. Pair them with some good pads and your good to go. If your looking for an intense upgrade to go to the track with. go for the gt500 kit. this would be fine. but the other would be better.

            Good product overall

            The installation was under 1 hr with no problems. but I cant give it an excellent review because I did not notice any difference in stopping compared to the stock rotors and break pads. I'm also suprised that there's a ring of rust aprox 1/4" in width around each of the rotors. It does'nt appear to cause any performance problems just didn't expect it to be there on a new product.

            Smooth, powerful stopping

            I've had these rotors on with Hawk pads for a few months now and love them! I never though I would upgrade my brakes but when my stock rotors went bad I went with these and can't tell you how happy I am with them. I feel more in control of my car and more confident with my speeds. Braking 80-0 was unbelievably smooth!

            Great for Stopping Power!!

            These look great and offer excellent stopping power. I used these on my V6. In order to do this, you will need a ‎12.43" GT brake upgrade brackets. I wanted the stopping power of the GT Mustangs in my V6 and this was my best option with using a 12.43" brackets (these brackets relocate the stock calipers further away from the center of the hub to accomadate the larger GT rotors). Luckily I have 17" wheels on my V6 so I was able to do this without spacers also. Love the use and look of the Power Slots on my Stang!!

            great improvement over stock

            Installed these along with hawk pads and the car shopping is a night and day difference. Even on the road course brake fade doesn't happen even through a whole day of racing. would not think twice next time I want to upgrade.

            Function as great as they look!

            Super easy install just make sure that you get a caliper compression tool when installing these(rent from part store). The caliper piston has to be rotated clockwise while light pressure is applied or they will not compress. Too much pressure can break the internals and you will be buying new calipers also. This is due to the integral emergency brake. For just a few more dollars than the stock equivalent thes are a no-brainer! If you stang is your daily driver like mine get the Hawk ceramic street pads also, super low dust and absolutely silent!

            rotors 2010 gt

            excellent stopping over stock. my supercharged gt stops quick with them. tested at over 100mph, breaking. can not go wrong with them.

            The rotors work well and are quiet, even during the break in. Unfortunately, a band of rust approx 1/8 inch wide runs circumferentially on the outer edge of the rotor and another ring of rust around the rotor "hat". Disappointing since I wanted rotors that looked and functioned well.

            completely perfect fit. the rotors are the same size as the factory, even if they look absolutely massive, don't worry. coupled with the hawk pads for your goal, and you will not be disapointed. breaking them in they are a bit noisy but they don't take long to go away

            no doubt about it

            I got these both front and rear and there is no doubt about it that they improve stopping power and have an excellent look compared to stock rotors. Combine these with Hawk pads and you're ready for high speeds and fast stopping power. A must have for mustangs everywhere!

            Need more stop?

            If you are like me and like to drive your car fast, then you probably know that from 150+ it takes a while to stop and your brakes get very hot. Not with these rotors and the hawk performance pads, it is like nite and day, cut your stop time in half and get longer life out of your performance brake set up. I recomend this to anybody with a need for speed!
